The blinding sun rises beyond the horzion,

Illumating the long stretch of road,

You stand beside me,

Your hand holding mine tightly,

I squeeze your hand,

Never wanting to let go,

We stand at a cross roads,

Unsure of which direction to choose,

Sunlight shines down on one path,

While shadows surround the rest,

We begin to walk along the path bathed in light,

Not caring where it leads us,

Yet looking forward to the long journey ahead,

Grateful to be side by side on this road to nowhere.
