Her mother chips in, "Your dad is right my dear, you should except the fact that you are a Indian and except the name given to u….u can't change who u are by changing ur name into some English name 'kelly'… Kelly grounds her teeth and exprated says, "Whtever, anyways I'm not going to waste my time on this by the way I got a job in America…New York to be specific" ….

Her mother drops the tea cup and her dad suddenly gets up glaring…..and shouts,"U did WHT? A job in AMERICA? Oh my god! Ur 26 for gods sake, y cant u just get a decent job in India? "but …" dad cuts her off and says flinching,"Wht if u fall in love…its perfect over there but its not..its not an Indian custom to fall in love….and I fear the worst….i already have someone in my mind for you to marry.." Kelly looks at him with shock."Dad u r not sending because ur afraid that I will fall in love…" and cries out loud her arms flinging madley,"OH MY GOD! DAD! Wht is wrong with u! I will not fall in love dad…I can promise u tht….u KNOW tht I never break promises and by the way I'm also not going to marry the guy who u have in mind….that guy has food stuck in his teeth all the time….!please dad….Dad looked at her as if he would burst any moment..fully raged he replies,"Im not going to allow and that's finally…and lady don't talk to me in that tone…. A tiny drop falls from Kellys eyes"MOOooooM" her mother comes towards her tell, "Im proud that u got a job in America, but u dad really loves u and he cant let u go when he knows tht u can still get a job here in India and be happy here…try to understand that dear.

Kelly replies,"why is dad being so selfish…I really will be happy ma in NY….i know its not safe but you cant hole me up here….please understand my state mother..i really want to go….."

Her mother presses her lips and pats her back as she wails in arms,''I shall see what I can do sweetheart…..Kelly face lights up…."oh no…don't be happy yet…I have a fear that it will take more than just talking with ur father…Kelly wipes her tears and nodes as she understood…her father is just as stubborn as she is…
