Kelly sat there working herself around…..she had already so many things to review, edit.. and what not….but she was immensely pleased that she was occupied with something throughout the day…she thought-she had a wonderful house..a crazy landlord/boss ! She loved and lived every bit of it!

She was so absorbed in her job that she lost track of time… it was almost lunch time…. " Hey, u gonna sit there and whack on your keyboard or are u even gonna eat?" came from a sweet, female voice..

She looked from the keyboard in surprise…glanced at her watch and gasped and said ," I dint realize how hungry I am! Thank you-" She was searching for a name….." Sophia" said the voice"

Kelly stretched her hand to shake Sophia's ..it was small and warm.. Kelly thought that Sophia was indeed a sight to the eyes! The right height..beautifully curved body.. smiling face… superb lips…great complexion..well..all in all she was everyman's dream!

Kelly and Sophia headed towards the canteen to eat….. grabbing burgers, they sat on the benches and conversed… Sophia asked, " soo..ur the new asst. manager, right? Kelly took a huge bite of her burger and nodded.. "Well…where are u from?"

India' came the reply from Kelly..Sophia nodded understandingly and said, " That explains the complexion!" Kelly smiled and said, "It sure does!

Soo..what's ur story?" asked Sophia… Kelly hid a smile by taking a bite and asked, "What makes u think I have a story?"

Sophia shrugged and replied, "Everyone has a story and by the way Its written all over your face!" Kelly laughed and said ," So..are u some kind of psychic?" Sophia twirled her hair absent mindedly and replied…" I like it….its dark , mysterious and interesting!"

She liked her…Kelly thought.. She needed a proper friend and Sophia just fit the slot and Kelly was glad for that!

'Soo'….Sophia asked .."What's ur story?" Kelly dint even think twice and out came her whole journey to America… her dads anger….her moms concession… but she kept the supermarket and jogging thing to herself….She just couldn't tell that …She wondered why….

Sophia after listening to Kelly asked her , "YOU cant marry for love? " When Kelly smiled sadly Sophia was like, "What THE HELL! That's not fair!

Kelly just shrugged it off as if it dint matter but inside she wanted to change the whole custom, the whole idea….What is wrong in marrying for love ? she wondered… better marry a familiar face than a stranger!

But she couldn't control everything…. She thought and let the matter drop..

Sophia was still in a state of shock and but Kelly persuaded her to forget about it! And her work continued… It was 6… She was wrapping up for the day…when, she was summoned to the editors office…

Mark was tired..all his bones were soar….all he wanted to do was sleep-fall into endless dreams….

He had kept an eye on Kelly the whole day.. he dint know why…but he thought it was necessary and so he did it!

He enjoyed the way she laughed.. the way her hands moved when she was thinking deeply….it was mesmerizing. He was never attracted to a woman to such an extent and he did not like the way he was getting attached to her…

She broke his thoughts and asked ," May I come in sir?" Mark replied in affirmative. She stepped in , closed the door behind her and stood erect in front of Mark. Mark beckoned her to sit and said, " I Want u to relax and anyways your official working time is over…so please be informal."

Kelly relaxed a bit , she bit back a smile and nodded….She leaned back in her chair and waited for him to continue.'

Mark smiled in satisfaction and smiled and asked ," How was your first day at work?" Kelly tucked her hair behind her ears and said, "It went well, but it was tough. I loved it! The new challenges , the new people…everything is soo exciting..I'm just so overwhelmed! "

Mark looked at her in awe and saw how beautifully her hands swayed when she spoke about something she loved…. He was never smitten like this! What the hell was wrong with him?" he wondered…..

He coughed a bit and asked her ," What's your plan for dinner?" Kelly shrugged and said, "Since I bought supplies….i wont be starving today!" Mark shifted in his seat and said ," Well… I can take you to a nearby restaurant …it'll save your time from cooking"

Kelly smiled and said ," Actually Mark, I love to cook and I wouldn't mind cooking… please don't take any trouble"

He was ACTUALLY disappointed but he just nodded and got from his chair and said," As you wish Kelly… I was trying to help! "Thank you" was Kelly's response. " I must be going now Mark , So see you tomorrow ! "

Mark nodded understandingly and before she could leave… he caught her hand… held her wrist and kissed her on the backside of her palms and looked up at her and whispered. "Like a gentleman" and winked.

Kelly felt a blush creeping up her face…she smiled and left!
