Hello, everyone! I hope you're doing well. I'm still writing a Unexpected True Love, but I decided to make a one-shot of Elizabeth and Elliot in the meantime. Here it's their day off and Elliot decides they should have a day out. I hope you enjoy!

ELIZABETH'S POV:

Ah, the joy of being home and it's peaceful and quiet. Working at the office can take a toll on a person, but hey, books get sold, authors get respect and we get the praise from the authors. Now I can have a relaxing day for once.

ELLIOT'S POV:

I'm outside Elizabeth's door. It's been a while since we had a day off, so I think we should have a day out. I knocked on her door. She opened the door and said, "If this is about work, please go back to where you came from."

I chuckled, "I assure you, it's not about work. I wanted to invite you to a little excursion."

ELIZABETH'S POV:

Is this man serious? I replied, "I already see you too much as it is. Do you really think I want to see you again?"

Elliot said, "Please? I will be a perfect gentleman. We'll go where you'll want to go."

I wasn't really convinced, so he said, "I'll be your slave."

I looked at him, "So, you're willing to do everything I say for the day?"

He nodded. I said, "Well, there is one place I want to go."

Thrift Shop

ELLIOT'S POV:

Elizabeth looked around and was picking up items. She picked a dress, "Wow, this looks just like Makoto Kikuchi's dress from The Idolm ster. All it needs is the boots, belt, and a left-handed glove."

I looked confused, "I thought you didn't like that kind of thing."

She looked at me, "I never said I didn't like cosplay. My parents just wouldn't let me do it. Now that I'm a grown woman, I can cosplay as much as I like."

I chuckled. She has definitely changed a lot. There were a lot of things she would never do, but she would do now.

ELIZABETH'S POV:

I looked around for more items. After I found what I wanted, I went to the checkout and was ready to pay for it when Elliot gave the cashier his card. I said, "You didn't have to do that."

"I know. I wanted to." he said simply.

He never fails to surprise me. We walked out of the store. He said, "Now where to?"

"Well, have you ever been to a karaoke bar?" I said.

"I thought you hated singing in public." he retorted.

"Well, thanks to you, I no longer to feel embarrassed to do that sort of thing." I told him.

KARAOKE BAR

We found a table. The only thing that bothered me was the person on stage was really drunk and tone-deaf. Elliot said, "Can you not be an editor for a minute?"

I laughed, "Forgive me, it's in my blood."

ELLIOT'S POV:

"I'm well aware of that." I told her. When the person was finished, Elizabeth stood up and made a request.

"I knew you were, you were gonna come for me..." she sang. She always had a beautiful voice, I'm just amazed it took her this long to realize it herself. I just watched her and took everything in.

BACK HOME

"Well, thank you, Elliot. I had a great time." she told me

ELIZABETH'S POV:

He looked surprised. I said, "Are you ok?"

He said, "This is just the first time you said my name without being under the influence of alcohol."

I said, "Well, I'm not feeling hostile toward you right now."

I walked toward my door when he touched my shoulder, "Elizabeth, may I kiss you?"

I looked surprised, "What's this? Usually you just kiss me, whether I want to or not."

"Well, this time I'm asking." he retorted.

I looked at him for a moment. I said, "Yes you may."

He pulled me closer and kissed me tenderly. It was so tender I didn't want to let go of him. When he let go, he said softly, "Good night, Elizabeth."

I nodded, "Good night, Elliot."

We walked inside our places and I stood at my door. I smiled then I washed up and went to bed.
