In the dark, we're the same, you and me.
Just two bodies, breathing evenly.
Four arms, four legs, the usual collection.
Two darting minds, built by introspection.

Because the physical, the exterior, only matters in light.
The confusion, the interior, takes over at night.
The mistakes that we made in the daytime flood in.
Every misstep, bad judgement, every curse, every sin.

So stay with me here, in the dark, one more hour.
All these troubles, together, we can purge. We can scour.
And I can promise you this (my personal creed):
I will always be here, for all that you need.
