A maiden once descended
a castle wall and cart
She wore but fire in her eyes
And joyousness in heart.

She darted through the forest
The night was brisk but kind
She leapt and danced in secret
Where vines on willows wind.

She dipped into the water
as the water licked her skin
The pool was softly luminous
as she caressed the wind

She rose, body and spirit
Her mind and soul to sky
She closed her eyes and smiled
For she knew God inside.
