Life is rarely better,
when you bitch and moan,
And find excuses,
To be all alone.
Far from your friends and family,
Means you're never heard,
So all that screaming,
Comes as just absurd.

Rome is burning

You're supposed to be religious,
Yet you commit sin,
Like wasting life,
And all the pleasures within.
You pray for fame and fortune,
And a reason to be,
But you're still in bed,
By half gone three.

Rome is burning
But you're not learning
The world keeps turning
And Rome keeps burning down

The flames are rising higher,
yet you don't seem phased.
You're too absorbed,
With the latest craze.
I hope this helps to ring a bell,
And guide you home.
To pierce the bubble,
Under the dome.

Rome is burning.

There are things of grave importance,
That'll pass you by.
So get out of bed,
Open your eyes.
Your colleagues, friends and family,
Their time and health.
Should mean more to you,
Than fame and wealth.

Rome is burning
But you're not learning
The world keeps turning
And Rome keeps burning down
