Quail Tale

By: hal99

Mr. Quail is very frail

He often steps on his own tail

Tripping, falling into a pail

He should go home after this sad fail

Some days he likes to get the mail

And walk around in rain and hail

If there's a party, he won't bail

Unless there is a veil on sale

Yes, Mr. Quail will drink the ale

But he won't take it from a snail

He'll buy a boat to look for whales

And lean way over all the rails

The bread he feeds the whales is stale

No wonder he's a lonely quail
