Justice is green like the trees and grass,

Smelling as fresh as a newly-bathed woman.

Justice is music to the ears of the innocent,

And prison's noises to the guilty.

Justice is the wisdom to perceive

What is right and what is wrong;

It is truth, tempered by love,

To draw the fine line between

The just ones and the unjust ones.

But the judges must balance the scales rightly,

For to inflict injustice on the guilty

Makes the innocent lose faith in judgment.
