Aggressive Angst

By Katje Kaase

Strings taut and vibrating

Like wire on crooked teeth

Tightened pressure pulling

A tornado looming in sight

Impending doom lurking

Always an internal fight

Worry hung on a clothesline

Waiting to be taken down

Folded and creased to perfection

Fear hidden inside

Anxiety and agitation

A labyrinth entwined in tension

Obsessions trying to hide
