The Anti-Valentine

Don't send me thornless, engineered red roses.

Don't buy me chalky hearts that say "B Mine".

Don't run around the mall until it closes.

There're so much sweeter ways to waste some time.

Don't take me to some place with red and white

Checked tablecloths, accordeons, garlic, cheese.

Don't watch me slurp spaghetti in low light.

Don't wear cologne; it only makes me sneeze.

Don't give me diamonds, platinum or gold.

You know we can't afford it on our budget.

Don't write love notes. I don't need to be told

What your hands show me. Don't use words to fudge it.

I just don't see the use for all this fuss.

Can't every day be Valentine's for us?
