*Before reading, understand this is written in jest*

Out of all those who walk in the poor man's shoes, the artist and poet wear them the most often; and are the better for it. The good one's either keep their passion and die before they are fully recognized or sell their muses to advertisement, politics (thought it is redundant to name both, as they are essentially the same: one gives us unwanted and useless products and the others unwanted and useless people) or mass produced, copy-paste entertainment. I don't add writers to this, because we modern scribes are rarely more than blue-collar hacks with a grudge and dreams of grandeur.
