Spider

Never was there ever quite

A monkey like this simple type,

With long arms and longer legs,

And a tail, all very, very thin.

With these amazing limbs to grasp,

Opposable thumbs and toes,

And a tail prehensile as them,

'Tis no wonder they're named for spiders.

Traversing the forest like a pro,

Traveling in adequate troops,

No backboned creature can outdo

This monkey at moving like so.

Male dominion is the rule

Of these monkeys' grand old mission.

Posturing to tell its bros things,

Making stances works for them too.

With its opposable thumbs and toes,

And five hands to support its actions,

Spider monkeys are as unique

As any exotic animal.
