They say today is the day of thanks. The day to collect your gratitude and hand it out over the table,

compliment by compliment. A collection of appreciation, laid out over the feast before us, washing over every relative we still speak to.

A day where no one should go untouched by the words of another. A day where your presence was missed so much, and I never got to say-

I'm thankful for you,

for

every

single

minute

you've been in my life.

I'm thankful for who I have become,

for who I was after you helped

set

me

free.

I'm thankful for your smile,

for all your laughter that makes my day just

a

little

brighter.

I'm thankful for the part you've played in my life. I'm thankful for all our conversations, our connection, our shared and separate stories. I'm thankful for the way you've shared your soul with me and received mine in return.

Most of all,

I'm thankful that I don't have to say goodbye yet.
