Verse 1- Growl

In March nineteen ninety three,

The Gates of Hell opened

For one twisted moment,

A great evil was set free.

His crying rang through Earth's core.

Heaven could not sit still

Knowing he must be killed.

An angel walked through the door.

In June nineteen ninety three,

She was born with a soul

That would always console

The ones who needed to be.

Her laughter rang through the woods,

She swore she'll stay faithful

To her one golden rule-

Always do what's right and good.

Chorus- sung

They warned her of danger's fists

Reaching for her through the mist

Of innocence she surrounded herself with

To ensure it was poison free air she'd breathe.

She assured evil's abstract,

Creeps into people through cracks

That she'll find and pour all her love into till

It disappears and her destiny's fulfilled.

Verse 2- Growl

It was two thousand thirteen,

When his shadow captured

Her heart, still unruptured,

He was the king, she his queen.

She laid her silver blade down,

True love had compelled her

To forget the wager,

And get lost in his cold town.

They travelled through mountains and

Volcanoes with voices

Such frightening noises,

Time danced like the wind through sand.

She prayed to her Heaven, please

Let our happiness last,

Forget our sinful past,

From fate let us be released.

Chorus- sung

They warned her of danger's fists

Reaching for her through the mist

Of innocence she surrounded herself with

To ensure it was poison free air she'd breathe.

She assured evil's abstract,

Creeps into people through cracks

That she'll find and pour all her love into till

It disappears and her destiny's fulfilled.

Bridge-growl

And then he became her everything,

Crawled through the crevices of her skin,

And slipped into her veins till he reached

Her heart so he could flick the death switch.

Her body lay on the ground, limp, cold,

Hidden for years, enveloped in mould,

She abandoned Heaven and he her,

It must have been written in the stars.

She found herself in Hell,

The cost of her fairy-tale,

And in her pit of sins,

The Devil gave her a grin.

Chorus- sung

They warned her of danger's fists

Reaching for her through the mist

Of innocence she surrounded herself with

To ensure it was poison free air she'd breathe.

She assured evil's abstract,

Creeps into people through cracks

That she'll find and pour all her love into till

It disappears and her destiny's fulfilled.
