Romans 13: Obey Rulers

Men in blue and black and brown,
Protect the peace in every town.
Faithful dogs and equal women,
Their strength and courage is a given.
God's ministers of His justice,
Learn from an Academy's practice,
To arrest and convict sinners
To be judged or to be winners,
Of the Grace and reformation,
Of our King's holy redemption.

They are the police, they are the cops,
They are the authorized crime mops,
Who absorb the filth of criminals,
And cleanse the earth for God's Holy Temple.

These boys and girls dressed all in blue,
And their K-9s, in coats of brown fur,
Are the hope of commun'ty peace,
As well as the punishers of malice.
The lawbreaker should always fear
For their lives and egos queer.
Officers of the law are ready
To face any crime that is heady,
Drugs or drinking, gambling or stealing,
So that their town can start healing.

They are the police, they are the cops,
They are the authorized crime mops,
Who absorb the filth of criminals,
And cleanse the earth for God's Holy Temple.

Some are as corrupt as their foes,
And deserve not their place as heroes.
'Tis largely their fault that so many
Resent God's public servants so badly.
But it is their duty to help you,
When you are lost, or hurting, too,
And we have naught to fear from them;
Do right and they will praise us for Him.
But sinners surely will be punished,
And brought 'fore the Lord to be ravaged.

They are the police, they are the cops,
They are the authorized crime mops,
Who absorb the filth of criminals,
And cleanse the earth for God's Holy Temple.
