She wiggled her toes underneath the scalding hot water she was submerged in, she'd decided years ago the burning was better than the feeling of the man who had touched remaining on her skin. Let it burn him off of me, she'd thought to herself. The man who took liberties with her body and was not her husband.

She shifted and winced at the tenderness between her legs and in her hips, why couldn't Evan be gentle? She leaned her head against the cold, cast iron tub. It was the only thing he'd allowed her to keep in the old house they'd bought, and she had to pay for it.

Just as she had began to relax she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, a second later the door swung open and she saw her sister.

"Don't knock, please just come right in." She said said sarcastically.

"He's back."

She didn't have to ask who, she could tell by her sisters expression and the way she stared at her. She felt her heart do a wild flip and her stomach drop, all she could manage in reply was a slight "Oh."

"Sabrina, did you hear me?" her sister asked.

She managed a nod and then tuned Leah out as she began listing the things that could happen. He was back, her husband was finally back in town and she knew he was coming back to kill her.
