Demons and monsters, they don't exist, right? You are told that when you are young. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but you were taught wrong. My friends, Aria and Ryker, and I can tell you that they really do exist. How do we know? We're currently trying to save our town from demons.

In order to keep it short, I won't give you the whole backstory of how this came to be. The watered down version is this: A guy in our town, our uneventful, quiet, peaceful town, Elijah, murdered his wife in a very violent way. He ripped her chest open and removed her heart out. He was starting to eat it until the cops came and arrested him. There was something the papers failed to mention, however: Elijah's eyes were all black, no white or blue to be seen. I only know that because my dad is an officer and I overheard him tell my mom.

Ryker later looked up a bunch of stuff about the weird behavior Elijah was showing and ended up finding stuff about demons. Aria and I didn't believe it at first, not until we woke up the next day and found out that another vicious murder happened overnight. It was done in a similar way with a few different odd twists of its own, something no ordinary human would do. After a quick search online, our suspicions were confirmed.

There are a few things that hurt demons-salt, silver, and holy water, to name a few. None of those things will actually get rid of one. In order to do so, one would need to get it inside of a devil's trap. They're not dumb enough to walk into one willingly, so you'd need to trick them by writing one on the ceiling or under a rug. While in one, a demon cannot leave the body they are in and they are powerless. While they can't hurt you, you'd need to exorcise it and send it back home.

Aria, Ryker and I are walking the streets of our city. We noticed a girl acting a bit off and began to follow her. She appeared to be normal but I just had a feeling there was more to her than there appeared to be. After following her for a while longer, we "accidentally" threw some salt on her to see how she was react. She hissed in pain and smoke came off of her skin. She turned around to face us and asked, "What do you guys think you are doing?"

"We know you are a demon," Aria told her.

"That's a little ridiculous, don't you think?"

"You wouldn't have reacted to the salt the way you did."

She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, her blue eyes were replaced with black holes. "I don't like being followed." She raised her hand in the air and moved it a certain way. As she did that, we all went flying backwards ten feet. We landed on the ground hard and took our time getting back up on our feet.

"Chill," Ryker said. "That hurts, you know." She did it again, but this time, only to him.

"I would stop there if I were you," she warned. "I have got better things to do than mess around with a bunch of sixteen year olds." She went to go leave but Aria stopped her. "What do you think you are doing?" She yelled at the smaller girl.

"What do you think you're doing?" She repeated to the black-eyed girl."Why are you doing this and-"

"Do you really think I am going to explain myself to you? Do you want me to rip your head off because I am like five seconds away doing exactly that. Stay away and leave me alone, I've got work to do." She pushed free of Aria's arm and walked away. We went to follow her but when we turned the corner, she was no where to be seen.

"What are we supposed to do? How are we going to find her again? What if she leaves the girl she is in now and possesses someone else? How will we know who she becomes? Oh god." Aria was asking a million questions a minute.

"Chill," Ryker said again. "Do you see me or Anastasia freaking out? We will think of something, we always do. Until then, we should go and look up more to try and figure out what to do." We went to the library and each used a computer. We looked up any and everything we could possibly think of but none of it helped, we knew it all.

After two hours of research, we didn't find anything we didn't already know. When the library closed, we found a McDonald's to eat at and go over what we know. We realized there was not much we could really do; we did not know when or where we could find the demon. By the time we were done going over everything we knew, it was late into the night. We decided to call it a night and resume working in the morning.

At about seven at night, my phone started screaming at me. I scavenged for my phone and answered it before whoever hung up. "Hello?" I say.

"Anastasia?" I hear Ryker's voice on the other end. "Hey, I had a dream last night that might help us out."

"What is it?"

"Okay, I'm not saying this will work but in my dream we were trying to get the demon, who went by the name Kali Ma, to come to us, like we are now. We did find a way to do so, all we did was start saying something bad about the demon, but not something stupid like 'she's so dumb', you know? I think we said something like she was a coward for hiding from us."

"When we were researching things, I think I read something that said are extremely arrogant and overconfident, which makes sense. If I was a really powerful demon who was practically untouchable, I'd be full of myself too. So all we have to do is say what we said in your dream and hope it comes true?"

"It's a start. We also had a devil's trap hidden to trap her in. We were down by the river and it was dark outside. We got her to show up and she walked right into one. Before getting her to show up, we drew one on the ground in gas and when she stood in it, I dropped a match on it and it showed up in the flames. She could not hurt us or leave it or anything. I highly doubt there us any way we could recreate that and Aria agreed with that. She suggested we go to the bottom of the pier and use spray paint to draw one on the top. I think that would be a lot easier to do, I just hope she won't notice it."

"That is actually a good idea. Do you want to do that soon?"

"I think it would be best. So far there has been four deaths in two days, two days! She has to be stopped."

"I wonder why she is killing innocent people. She is a demon and I don't really expect anything else, but why here, why now? No one here has done anything wrong, we just keep to ourselves."

"After we trap her, we should ask her and she if she will tell us why she's doing it."

"Meet us down there in ten minutes." With that, he hung up.

I immediately hopped on my bike and seven minutes later I was admiring Aria's work above me. She drew the trap in a color that I don't think Kali Ma will be able to notice. "Are you guys ready to get the show on the road?" She asked.

Ryker and I both nodded our heads yes and he began yelling out pretty much exactly what he told me earlier. He also said that if she could hear him she needed to show up because we had important things to discuss. After five minutes of shouting at nothing, I was ready to give up. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up that it would work, it was just a dream, after all.

I turn around to leave and run into none other than Kali herself. "Leaving so soon? That's no fun." She took a step closer to us. She paused and then began talking again. "Put the salt down, Aria." I wondered how she could see what she was doing, I couldn't even make it out, but I guess she's a lot smarter than me. Aria didn't listen however tried throwing it. With one raise of her hand, Kali sent Aria flying backwards. She took a step closer and glared at the girl on the ground. "You think you can bring me here and try and hurt me? I thought you just wanted to talk."

"Why are you killing so many people?"

"I wouldn't waste my time telling you, but I don't plan on letting you leave here. I need the souls. Once I get five thousand, I will make them all rise and rebel with me. We will crawl out of hell and take over the earth. We will rule this place like we were meant to."

As she talked, she came closer and closer to us. She must have noticed me looking up as she did too. "Oh, you thought you could trap me? You're going to have to do better than that." With that being said, she took a step back and raised her hand. She made an odd gesture with her hand and it sent Ryker, Aria, and I flying backwards, which hurt a lot. We landed against the side of the pier with a lot of force, knocking the breath out of us."Many have tried to trap me, but to no avail."

When I finally caught my breath again I said, "I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. I know it's going to take a lot more than that to trap you. You can't think we're that stupid. I was making it obvious that I was looking up so you'd notice that one, but what you didn't realize was the one we painted on the ground."

She looked down at the ground and realized her mistake. "Clever, I'll give you that," she muttered. "So what are you going to do now?"

"Send you back to Hell where you belong," Aria replied.

In order to send a demon back downstairs, you need to say a certain Latin phrase. I'm not quite sure what it means, but hey, if it works I'll say it all day long. Ryker began to say it and she cried out in pain. "Stop it! Stop speaking! I can do something for you, I can make a deal with you. We can rule this place together and I won't even kill you the first chance I get. I can give you what you want, I can give you power!"

"Do you really think that's going to make us stop?" Ryker questioned.

"Do you really think I'm that pathetic to beg you like that? You can send me back a million times and I'll still find a way back."

We all joined in to say the last line. A loud cry escaped the girls mouth and we could see the demon leaving her body. A thick black smoke came out of the girls mouth and began to go away. When it was all gone, the girl fell to the ground. Arai ran over to help her but she was in poor condition. Apparently having a demon exorcised from you takes a lot out of you.

We kept calling out to her, hoping she would do something other than breathe heavily. She wasn't responding to anything and soon went limp in Ryker's arms. "I think she's dead," he said.

"Great, how are we going to explain this?" I said. We all stood up and I picked up her body. We began walking away, deciding on what we would tell the police.

At that time, I didn't know that Kali Ma wasn't working alone. There was two other demons in my state, doing the same things. But that is a different story I cannot say at this time.
