((Dream Sequence))

((A young man, a modest youth with dark hair and eyes, enters a Non-Denominational church, where he makes his way amongst the pews and the other congregation members just as a minister comes before them to speak. ))

Minister

Praise God! Hallelujah!

((The pastor becomes more eccentric as a well dressed gentleman who is sitting at the church organ, begins to play in the background))

Minister

Don't you know God, took me up on the mountain!

((There is applause, though Dream seems unimpressed))

Minister

Now, ah don't you know he showed me some things!

((More applause))

Minister

I said he (emphatically) showed me some things!

((Applause))

((The pastor comes out from behind his podium, Bible in tow and uplifted towards the ceiling as he begins to dance and convulse.))

Listening to empty speeches

Echoing through the wind in resound

Could you go at it with anything more plastic?

Would it hurt you if you didn't stand?

I know you preach with the spirit

But far be it I should listen to you

You may be a preacher

But don't lie youre not a prophet

And it seems to me that you like

Thinking

You're

So goodbye

Truth that you'd sown

Now the flesh

Is the primary goal

Can't trick me with your metaphors!

Can't take me for the crowd!

Back to the notes you wrote all alone

When you were divulging your lies

Oh I guess somewhere your secret lies

Beyond the seeds that you'd

Who do you think you're fooling?

You say you can absolve our sins

Though you go at it, with all of your fervor

In the end you're just a man

((We see the minister continuing to yell at his congregation, though now muted))

You know you can't fool them forever

Better stick to what's the truth

You may have a gift for discerning the spirit

But you're much too gaunt to be twisting

The book

And then I saw it! Chariots rushing down from the mountain top! God was revealing himself to me! In the flesh!
