Not Naked, Nude

I want the world to see
That I want to be nude,
Not naked,
Nude.

To be naked is to lose something
That I cannot afford to lose.
To be nude is to let go
Of what I do not need to use.

To be naked is to fear
The shame of being unclothed.
To be nude is to embrace
The joy of being disrobed.

To be naked is to cling
To things exposed by what I let go.
To be nude is to spread out
And see who I am, head to toe.

I want the world to see
That I want to be nude,
Not naked,
Nude.
For naked makes it like an evil
To shun, repulse and ravish,
But nude makes it good as God,
A sacred thing He will not punish.
