I remember one Christmas day
On which Mom and Dad sneaked their way
Past our bedrooms because
They thought we still had Santa Claus
In our sleepy heads dancing away.
But after they went into the kitchen
And had some coffee with Uncle Ben,
They went into the living room and
Saw their three little darlings stand
By the tree and asking, "Where have you been?"
You see, Mom and Dad's big mistake
Was forgetting that we were able to fake
Being asleep in order to see
Santa with gifts for me
And my family instead of a snake.
