Cold winter silence

Quilted snow muffles bird song

Snowflakes mute the notes

Night Blizzard

Street lamp in the dark

Makes shadows of the snowflakes

Swirling black and white

Warm Fire

My dog on the hearth

Dreams of warm summer sunshine

Fuelled by the heated fire
