What has modern Christianity done?! It's like… Jesus is replaced by 'love,' the gospel is replaced by 'peace,' and the Bible is replaced with 'good works!' It isn't even Christianity anymore! Yoohoo!

They worship a 'hippie God.'

Where has the Gospel been? Now all I read about is how 'love alone is worth the fight.' (It is a Switchfoot song. It is an alright song, but I don't particularly agree with the lyrics. I'd rather say 'Christ alone is worth the fight.' But enough with tangents.)

All I see is the 'social gospel.' Blah! I don't know the particulars, but it borders on universalism at some points. Bringing together the world in peace? Rick Warren seems to think it's a good idea. But let's see what Jesus has to say.

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." (Matthew 10:34-39)

Whoa. That's harsh, Jesus! That really is appalling to my ecumenical mindset! All kidding aside, Jesus is dead serious here. He didn't come to bring a 'one world religion of peace' to the world. No! He came to die for our transgressions so we may receive the gift of grace! Is grace universal? Absolutely not! Few will believe in the way that Christ commands us to.

He tells us to LOSE our own lives. No, He doesn't command us to commit suicide. That'd be just appalling. Actually, He tells us to surrender ourselves before Him and take up our cross and follow Him. It is really simple.

Unless you are completely obsessed with everything else… Maybe you're thinking about how work is affecting your life, about the part on your car that needs fixing, maybe about your kids and how they are doing, how to make the world a better place, etc. It is perfectly human to think such thoughts, but we are to surrender such thoughts to Christ. It will create a deeper peace inside of your heart because you let those things go to Him.

We are to love Christ more than anything else, ever. Will you be perfect from thereon? Nope. We are still fallen creatures, riddled with the cancer of our sin nature. Yet Christ is the divine 'homeopathic' therapy that keeps it subdued. Some people prescribe 'divine chemotherapy' and it seems to work, but the cancer comes back faster than ever.

I have had personal experiences of 'divine chemotherapy.' I used to go to a camp for about six years, and it'd be like the 'divine hospital' that I would apply for treatment in. The experiences were euphoric and chock loaded with emotionalism and sensationalism. Even a little bit of Charismania was apparent, which I was completely unaware of at that time. When I would get home, the 'aura' of the 'treatment' would be apparent for about five days. Yet again, I would fall into the lifestyle of hating Christ's principles. I just couldn't accept Christ, truly and faithfully, at that time.

Recently, I have begun to feel the Holy Spirit move within my life. It wasn't anything like Charismania claims the Holy Spirit to be. It was a gradual strengthening of my core doctrinal beliefs in the Bible, and a living and breathing faith in Christ. I began to slowly accept more and more 'harsh' doctrine into my life, because I was beginning to see the world in its truly depraved condition. I began to see subjective experience as useless compared to the objective Word of God.

There ends my testimony, and it's about time that I turn this ship around and get back onto topic before I completely lose the point of this message.

What entails with a 'hippie God' culture is that people are totally tolerant, even outright accepting, of Satanic Hindu practices. It's like they don't even care at all. In fact, they don't care. They don't care what the real Christ thinks of it. They only care about how THEY feel about it. See the focus on self? That's not Christ-like at all.

It's called the Kundalini Awakening. I won't get into just how bad it is, but look up on YouTube 'Kundalini in Church.' Don't be deceived. It is an evil practice.

Imagine how powerless God would be God condoned everything that man thought was right. He'd be sitting there with His lazy hand saying, "Peace, man. Have fun, bro…" and waving a peace symbol.

That is definitely NOT the way God is. God is entirely sovereign. God is the author of everything. God is the author of discernment. God is the author of Truth. In fact, He is the Truth. God is the author of our salvation. God created everything for His glory.

The 'hippie God' culture is the textbook definition of lukewarm. They are even worse than the outright anti-Christian organizations like the Church of Satan. Why? They deceive countless millions of people with a false Gospel that has half-truths on the outside and blatant heresies on the inside. They use emotional hypnosis to get people to believe what they want them to. That is the work of the Devil himself.

I bet it feels really good to repeat a mantra-like line in a song that claims to be Christian. Jesus Culture's 'Come Away' has the line 'Open up your hearts and let Me in' repeated thirteen times. I know the song. It sounds beautiful. Yet it doesn't deceive me anymore with its evil brainwashing technique.

That song comes from Bethel Redding. I could have an entire message on the deceits of Bethel Redding, but I am not going to post them here. Look it up yourself if you are curious.

The 'hippie God' culture is massive. It is immense. Hundreds of millions of people subscribe to this type of pseudo-theology. It is bunk. It is a damnable heresy. And many Christians, if not most, subscribe to this very deceit.

My God is a just and loving God. My God is the God of the Bible, and not the God of man's imagination, or even mine. Read the Gospels, and do not cherry pick any of the verses. Read the entire message and decide for yourself if you will put your entire trust in Christ or turn away from Him.

He is just to receive those who repent and trust in Him. Repentance is important. The 'hippie God' culture takes out repentance and makes it pretty much 'ultra-easy believism.' The 'hippie God' culture makes it too easy. Being a true, Spirit-filled Christian isn't an easy life at all, especially with the obvious and detrimental decay to the Christian church today.

The 'hippie God' culture will probably play into the Roman Catholic Church's plan for a 'one world faith.' It sure is leading that way. The 'hippie God' culture is dangerously close to the way Unitarian Universalists do their service. Maybe not the 'Unitarian' part, but the 'Universalist' part is very obvious today. I believe that more than 50% of Christians are universalist.

Also, based on the above paragraph, we are in the very last days of this Earth. Do not hesitate to preach the Gospel. Preach Sola Scriptura. Preach the Word. Preach repentance. Preach the key doctrines. Preach the unadulterated truth. Preach self-denial. Preach Christ adoration. Do not wait. Do it.

I am vehemently anti-universalist. I am against the belief that the Bible is an outdated ancient fairy tale and that love alone is the key to Christianity, because without the truth of the Bible, our 'love' is self-seeking by nature and will not lead someone to the Truth. True love for others is concern for their SOULS! I would rather turn one hundred away and see one come to Christ, than to see one hundred and one come and eat at my table, while I proclaim that God loves them all and that He won't send them to hell. Why? Because I would be LYING if I told them that Christ saved all. He doesn't. He saves those who believe on Him truly and securely. He saves those who repent of their sins and turn to Him.

Pray to Christ for a repentance mindset. Pray to Him that He will give you disgust for your sins. Ask Him to help you repent at every wrong move you make. Ask Him to show you the Truth.

Do not believe in the false 'hippie God.' If you do, I tell you this: Turn away from such a manmade idol. Read the Bible. Learn about God in the Scriptures. Do not rely on sources outside of the Word. Compare any books to the Word.

Do not trust spiritual experiences. (Yes, I am a cessationist. The Bible supports this position. Read Revelation for some examples.) Do not rely on anything you have experienced in the supernatural for knowledge of God. Do not be like the mystics. Strictly get your knowledge from the Bible. The Word is objective. Experiences are subjective, and ultimately self-centered and not God-centered.

If any you know are in the Charismatic, Pentecostal, or the Universalist movements, pray for their souls. Show your love for them in prayer.

Dear Jesus, I pray that those who are trapped within the cults of false 'Christianity' will see Your Truth and come to saving faith in You. I pray that they will turn their hearts away from the self-aggrandizing idols and put their entire trust on Your promise. I pray that they will abandon false 'Christianity' and embrace true Christianity, which You have established with the Apostles. I pray that You regenerate their depraved souls and show then Your immense light. Amen.

God bless, as always.
