Void
By: Amara Ryden
Coincidentally this poem is being published around Mother's Day, but I think it's something that people can relate to year-round.

Void
Baby shoes
Never worn
Empty crib
Hurts like a thorn
Newborn laughter
Never heard
Missing milestones
Like a first word
Innocent eyes
Never seen
Emotions lost
Some place in between
Dreams of family
Turned to sleep
Sometimes sorrows
Are just too deep
