Head In A Song.

Too much time spent dreaming,
one would find themselves
in a haze of sweetness, a
summer cloud and winter snow.

Where did all those nights go?
A darkness clouding the sky
just so the stars could bring
the comfort of their bright light.

A call upon the heroes, the ones
that bleed and fear and fight
and try to be something more
than just a pawn.

But those were all songs, those
were the lies that fell from lips
to lips to keep the innocence
away, safe in a broken world.

The heroes wear no armor, the
monsters wear no masks, we are all
diluted with the good and the bad,
can one come out untainted?

I dare say not.
