I sat in the same chair every day since the beginning of high school. Every day before and after school I would go to the far left corner of the library to read or do homework. It was my sanctuary and everyone knew it. Even the librarian put my favorite genre of books on the chair because she knew I would find them and read them the first chance I got. I was kind of an outsider, but I liked it like that. I was the girl that no one knew. I was the girl that looked average, so no one paid attention to me. I was the girl who was only ever acknowledged because of her really pretty and smart best friend. So it was kind of a big deal that one day, out of the blue, someone decided to sit next to me in the library.
