CoED: Trainee Days

A/N: Hey guys, it's your girl, KrisSimsters and I'm not going to keep this A/N long. The idea for this came from one thought: I wanted to make a story for K-Pop Fans. K-Pop-also known as Korean Pop-has been getting popular for a while, so I wanted to create a book for fans. I'm writing this along with my best friend and this is basically a shared project between the two of us. This will be heavily-influenced with K-Pop (obviously), but the characters and setting belong to us. We hope you enjoy.
NOTICE: The characters and setting belongs to my best friend and I. Anything else used is trademarked and copyrighted. PLEASE DO NOT TRY and STEAL OUR WORK! WE ARE NOT BLIND!
SUMMARY: Join blogger Sapphire Rose as we're introduced to K-Pop's first interracial and international K-Pop group. There will be ups, there will be downs, and there will be Sapphire, talking about it all.

Hello Boys & Girls,
If you came across this website, then it was not an accident. Just like me, you want to know if something exciting is going to happen. Well guess what, I'm the only one who know's what's going to happen and when it's going to happen. Word is, we're getting a new K-Pop group. And before you say the usual, I already know it. We get a new K-Pop group every two weeks and we're supposed to think their the next big thing, but this group is different. Not only are the majority of them from America. Their also interracial. Out of this supposed new group, there are only a few fully-fledged Koreans, but even they have different nationalities in them. Too bad we won't actually see them for a while...they still have to train and that might take some years. Think about it. I can see a group form from absolutely nothing to future stardom. And guess what, you can join me too. You know you want too. I'm Sapphire Rose, and I'm always watching.
Love,
Sapphire

Chapter One
Formation
Klay Katsu…
"You're actually going to do it? You're actually going to start a K-Pop group?" Klay Katsu nodded his head without looking up from his laptop, he knew his older sister would be the only one who would constantly ask him if he was actually going through the process of forming a K-Pop group. And why shouldn't he? He's been researching the idea for the past three years. He's been to Korea and back more than once, he spoke, rap, and sung in fluent Korean, and he's even made friends with idols who have been in the business long enough that they gave him pointers. And he recently turned 13. Every other student in George Washington Carver Middle would be gearing up for the summer by planning expensive trips with their families or on their own, but not Klay. He was on a mission, he needed to find people for his new group. It didn't have a name yet, but he'll figure that out before the extensive training started.
"Klay!" Klay rolled his silver eyes, his older sister, Alice just wouldn't leave him alone. Along with their older brother, Marc, Klay and Alice shared similar features. It was only facial features since Alice and Marc shared their mother's black hair while Klay shared their father, Malcolm's blonde hair. He recently dyed silver streaks and spent the last year growing it out to it was long. "Klay!" Klay sighed as he closed his laptop, he can't wait until his Mom got started on the dorm for him and his other members.
"What do you want?" he asked, a little annoyed.
"I want to know who's going to be in your future group," she asked in that sweet voice that Klay hated sometimes. Klay scoffed, she should have already know who some of the members are. Of course he's going to ask his best friends; TJ, Jay, and Carlos. He also wanted some girls in his group, so he was going to have to ask MacKenzie for help. Of course she had to be in the group too, she was a good singer and dancer and what Klay needed in his new group.
"You should already know who's going to be in my group,"
Alice pondered the thought and Klay tried going back to his laptop, but Alice tapped him again. Alice was only two years older than him, but sometimes he acted more mature than her. No not sometimes...mostly all the time.
"You mean besides TJ, Jay, and Carlos?" she asked.
"Yes, besides them. Now, get out, MacKenzie's going to be here in a few minutes," Klay said, making a shooing motion with his free hand while searching on YouTube for K-Pop cover artists who lived in Florida.
"I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out," she said, leaning on the backside of the new black couch that belonged to the newly designed basement. It was part of his bedroom, he had the whole basement to himself with a bedroom/bathroom that would make of the teens in his grade jealous. The laundry-room was also down here, along with a recording studio that lead to a dance studio. Again, he couldn't wait until his Mom build two dorms for him and his band, one in Korea and the other here in Miami.
"Can't you see I'm busy? Go bother Marc."
"No," came the deep voice from upstairs that belonged to their older brother. "I'm going to work in a few minutes, anyway." Marc was one year older than Alice and was about to enter the tenth grade while Alice was going to her first year of high school after the summer ended. Klay was going to enter the 7th grade. Before debuting his future group, he planned on training them for the rest of middle school and depending of their ages, the first year of high school.
"Why don't you go and hang out with some of your own friends instead of bothering me?" Klay asked his sister.
"You just want me out of the room," Alice said in that sickly sweet voice yet again. Klay had to mentally calm himself down, a trick he's been doing for the past few years to keep himself from wringing Alice's neck like he thought about doing in his mind.
"Yes, I actually do want you out of the room," Klay stated turning around. "I have business to discuss with Kenzie, so you need to leave."
"Fine, you're lucky I love you," Alice said as she turned to leave the main area at long last.
"And close the door."
He heard the entrance to the basement door close a few moments before MacKenzie's light knock could be heard from the side door. He left it unlocked on purpose so he wouldn't have to get up again.
"Come in," he called without looking up. He heard the door open and close before seeing long, blonde hair and boobs topple his laptop screen. "Your boobs are going to break my laptop screen."
"Fuck you," she said, sitting down beside him.
"You know you want too." MacKenzie pushed him slightly, playfully rolling her eyes. "How's the search going?"
"I have a couple of girls in mind," she stated as she went in her favorite pink clutch with Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls for gum. She's had that clutch since she was nine and her Mom let her go to Tokyo for a month with her cousins. She found her gum and was about to get a piece when Klay reached over and grabbed two pieces of the peppermint chewing gum. He popped one in his mouth and saved the other piece for later. Another shove.
"Who are they?" Klay asked, bringing the laptop up closer.
"A set of cousins. One of them shares a class with her, she and her brother came here back in January," MacKenzie stated. "Her name's Hayley. Apparently her cousin's name is Haven and Haven's in the 7th grade. She shares English with Jay and Calculus with Carlos."
Klay nodded his head as he went back on YouTube and searched for first Hayley and then Haven. He saw covers of them together and separately. He noticed that Haven was more of a rapper, covering Cheetah, Jay Park, and Yezi. Hayley was the singer, covering mostly Ailee songs, along with SNSD and MAMAMOO.
"Their Korean needs work," Klay said. "They have nice asses though."
"I'm not so sure they want a baby like you," MacKenzie joked as she stood up and walked over to his mini-fridge.
"Whatever fatass," he said as he smacked her ass. She gave him a playful pout as she walked over and sat down beside him. "Fine, I'll scope them out. You did good, fatass."
"There's one more girl you should check out, her name's Ashleigh. She transferred back in March, remember?" Klay nodded, she was shy. He only knew so much about her, she skipped a grade when she was in fourth when she was living with her Mom, stepdad, and two brothers in Toronto. She was also a mixture of nationality, along with her brothers. She was 50% Korean, 25% Japanese, and 25% African-American. She was probably the shortest girl he ever knew about, she was shorter than MacKenzie and he's known MacKenzie since she was seven.
"What does she do?" Klay asked her.
"She raps, sings, and dances. She would be a triple threat in Korea if you trained her hard enough," MacKenzie noted. "But then again, you'll have to convince her to do it. Hayley and Haven are easy, Ashleigh's the tough one."
Klay nodded. "Can I fuck her?"
"No. Stop thinking with your dick."
"That's why I have you."
"Horny asshole."

Ashleigh Cheng-Cortez…
Ashleigh yawned, damn her brothers for getting up earlier than usual. Ashleigh set her SNSD backpack on the floor as she prepared herself for another day of getting up in the high, black three-legged stools of the Biology classroom. As usual, it looked higher than she did. She hated being so short. And she had the body of a sixteen-year-old. But that was her mother's fault. As she swayed into her usual spot in the back of the room, she noticed the words: "LAST DAYS OF SCHOOL! COMPLETE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS!" on the blackboard in front of her. She was glad school was almost over for the year. Every student would be glad that school is almost over, but Ashleigh being smarter than normal kids her age, the ending of the school year made her brain relax more. Being smarter than thou was something she hadn't anticipated. She would make small distractions during class, but so did every kid. She was just one of the smarter ones.
She was about to take out her phone and put on her headphones to listen to BlackPink once again while she dabble in her notebook when she felt somebody sit down beside her. She turned around to her right side and almost blushed. Klay Katsu was sitting beside her. Why was Klay Katsu sitting beside her? Klay Katsu was one of the hottest guys in the school, she loved his blonde and silver hair.
"Hi," she almost squeaked out.
Ashleigh, you idiot why did you squeak?!
"Morning. I didn't know you were up here early," Klay said.
"My brothers dropped me off, they had to finish up some exams for school," she said, holding back the second squeak. It was an annoying quirk, but also because she was sitting beside fucking Klay Katsu.
"So does mines," Klay said. He pointed to her phone. "Who were you going to listen too?"
"BlackPink. Lisa's my favorite," she said, as she felt her cheeks turning red.
"Cool. I like them too. So, I saw some of your covers on YouTube, you're good," he said.
"Thanks. It helps me relax when I'm not thinking about school," she stated with a smile. "I didn't know people actually watched me."
"It's YouTube. Your secret was going to be found out sooner than later," he said. "So, I have a proposition for you. I was wondering if you wanted to join my group."
"What kind of group?"
"K-Pop group. I'm creating a K-Pop group with some of my friends and I was wondering if you wanted to join. You would be the maknae because you're younger than me and my other members," Klay implied.
"I don't think so, my Mom wouldn't like it," she said earnestly. It was half-true. Her Mom loved the fact that she was smarter than normal kids and sometimes used it to her advantage. Even when school was out, Ashleigh's Mom, Cora, made sure Ashleigh was taking summer classes at least two days a week. With high school a couple of years away, the studying would probably be more structured than before. And why would Klay Katsu would want her in his group anyway?
"I wouldn't be so persistent on you if I didn't think you would be a good fit for my group. How about this? How about you come to my house this weekend along with the other members and we can have some time to discuss this? It shouldn't really be a problem since school's almost out. Just think about it and come by on Saturday."
Ashleigh thought about it. She wouldn't mind actually having a social life outside of school and books. "Alright, I'll come."
"Cool." After giving him the number to her cell, he texted her back his number and after a few more minutes of conversation, the first bell rung and the two walked off to their separate classes.

Haven Abel…
"You want me to join your K-Pop group?" Haven Abel asked the blonde named MacKenzie Dawson. She was in the middle of eating when the blonde approached her with the idea. She can't wait to be home for the summer, she wanted to head to Korea and watch live performances of Show Me the Money and Inkigayo. MAMAMOO was making a comeback and she wanted to see Hwasa's honey thighs in person.
"It's not my group per se, it's Klay's group. He's been planning a K-Pop group for years. I'm just a mere talent scout," MacKenzie said. She thought about her words and Haven ate another piece of her double pepperoni pizza. "I'm in the group too, you know. I'll mostly be singing and dancing, but Klay likes things even so since he has four boys...he needs four girls."
"I wouldn't mind joining. I've always wanted to outshine my brother," piqued Haven's cousin and best friend, Hayley Rodriguez. Hayley and her little brother, Stephen were always in mini competitions, but Stephen was a tech and science nerd so he won more than Hayley did. It was given that Stephen was going to go into engineering when he got older.
Haven rolled her eyes. "Steven wouldn't care if you were in a K-Pop group. He would probably be glad he didn't have to share the bathroom as often as he does when you're home and you have to take up 20 minutes to put on makeup."
Hayley scoffed as she finished off her cheesecake. "Just because you can pull off an au natural look doesn't mean everybody can," was the raven-hair's reply.
MacKenzie wanted to laugh, the two cousins were entertaining, but she was also here on a somewhat business level. "Ladies, Klay needs answers."
"Haven, I'm not going to do it if you're not," Hayley proclaimed.
"I don't want to do it. I'm not a huge fan of K-Pop like you," Haven said. "And whose the last girl Klay wants you to recruit?"
"Have you heard of Ashleigh?' MacKenzie asked.
Hayley gasped loud enough for other kids to notice. "Shut up! She goes here?!"
"Hayley you idiot. She's in your AP English class," Haven said. "Even I know that."
"This is more reason why we have to join. She's a better rapper than you," Hayley prouded. Haven scoffed, it's not that Ashleigh was bad, but Hayley wasn't going to sit there and say that somebody else was better than he. And she knew what Hayley was doing, which is why she almost regretted her next words.
"Fine, when's the first meeting?"
Mackenzie smirked, she loved winning. "The first meeting in on Saturday. You'll get to meet the other members and maybe Ashleigh might join. Klay talked to her earlier."
Hayley and MacKenzie waved bye as Haven dug around in her backpack for her laptop and once it was out, she turned it on and got directly on YouTube. Hayley looked over.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Looking at Klay's work. If he has the skills that MacKenzie said, then this shouldn't be a problem." Hayley watched as Haven begun checking out Klay's videos on YouTube.
"Not bad," she said. "Maybe this will be fun."
"You're blushing."
"Shut up."

Klay Katsu…
"Are you sure you don't need anything?" Klay's Mom, Reina asked. Klay nodded as he finished the rest of his breakfast.
"You don't look excited for somebody about to have his first meeting with his new groupmates," Alice pondered as she grabbed another pancake from the winding down stack.
"Why would I be excited, it's just a normal meeting. We're not even doing anything, it's a formality so everybody can get to know each other. We won't start training until school ends," Klay told her. Alice rolled her eyes as she finished eating. Marc had already left for work and she wasn't far behind. While their mother doesn't work on weekends, she still had errands to run, leaving Klay alone in the house. Their father, Malcolm was currently on a business trip and won't be back until the day after Memorial Day.
"I'm just saying, everybody's worried about their first day at work," Alice said as she ate the last of her pancakes on her plate. She walked into the kitchen and washed out her plate and fork before heading in the fridge for a water bottle.
"I'll be back late, I"m going out to eat after work," Alice called as she walked out the door. Klay was glad her voice was gone, at least for now. And it also meant no distractions during the meeting.
Time: 2:30 P.M.
Hayley Rodriguez…
"This whole downstairs area is yours?" Hayley exclaimed as she and Haven walked through the side-door entrance that led inside Klay Katsu's basement. Hayley wore her favorite black jeans with an vintage Ravenclaw tee and a pair of black sandal-heels. Her jet-black hair was in a ponytail today, she didn't want to do much with it, even if she wanted to head to the mall later.
"Yep," Klay stated as he let two cousins inside. Haven was still unsure about joining a K-Pop group, even if she did say yes only yesterday. Between the two of them, Hayley was the one with the more extensive K-Pop knowledge. She knew when BIGBANG got popular, when DBSK was no more, when Shinhwa finally left SM. She loved Ailee, she would die if she met her one day. "Just get comfy, the meeting's going to start soon."
Hayley watched as Haven sat on the couch beside two guys who were in the same year as her. She met them every so often on her way to class. The tallest of the two were Carlos Santiago, he was younger than Haven, but only by almost a few weeks. He had dark burgundy hair that was curlier than Haven's and hazel eyes. The one sitting on the end was TJ, only a few people knew what his initial was, probably his close friends. He had blonde hair that reached to the middle of his neck and eyes were were blood red and unique. Hayley thought he was mysterious, but turns out that he was more quiet.
Hayley decided to take a seat next to Jordan Michaels, or as everybody else called him, Jay. Jay and Haven shared Calculus and she would see him on occasion as well. Jay had shaggy, dark brown hair with yellow eyes. They all looked unique in their own way.
"Hello, I'm Hayley," she said as she sat down beside Jay.
"I know," was the brunette's reply. She cocked her head in confusion and Jay explained further. "T.J., Carlos, and I saw your work. Your moves are good, but your Korean might need some work."
"I've been speaking in Korean in a while now. I think I can speak it fluently enough," Hayley said.
"Look, Klay has said the same thing, but it's not a bad thing," Jay pointed out. Hayley looked over at MacKenzie, who nodded in agreement. "It's why we're here. If we're going to be in a K-Pop group and we're going to be going back and forth between Korea, Japan, and the US, then we need to train."
"We're going to Japan?" asked Hayley.
"Yep," came the voice of Klay as he entered from his studio, a notebook and pen in hand. He sat down on the couch next to MacKenzie as the side door opened yet again. Another girl had entered, with midnight-blue hair and hazel-nut eyes that had gold specs in it when in the right light. She was short, but she had the body of somebody older. She couldn't have been no more than twelve. Especially since she wore a simple black halter with a pair of short denim shorts and a pair of sandals.
"I'm sorry if I'm late," she said.
"You're not late," Klay said as he motioned her towards the couch. She walked over and sat down on the couch beside Carlos. Klay rubbed his hands together. "OK, now that everybody's here, we can get this meeting started."
