A/N: Hey guys, so I know it has been almost 6 years but life kept me swamped that I had no motivation to work on a new chapter. This week though I had a sudden urge to do a new chapter thanks to some songs bring stuck in my head. As of now, 3 parts are planned but there may be 1 more (I still haven't decided how I want the ending to go). These parts will focus on Nicole's sister Letty and how she got with her husband Jack so we are going back in time. Also, I tried a different and new direction with this one which I actually loved. Anyways, enough of my rambling, here is part one with 'My Cherie Amour' by Stevie Wonder

Summary: Jack speaks with someone important that reminds him of the girl he loves

Jack waved as Letty walked by but as usual, she ignored him. He knew she could get lost in her own world that she doesn't see around her but it still hurt being ignored by the girl you love.

"Why the long face son?" A man asked.

Jack looked at the man then pointed at Letty walking away. "I am in love with that girl but she doesn't see me. She gets in her own mind so I know it's not just me but still..."

The man laughed. "Sounds like my late wife Gladys. Woman was so distant and ignored every man that tried to court her"

"What did you do?"

"I sang her a song"

Jack waited a moment but the man stayed silent. "And, did it work?"

"Heck no, she flipped me off and still ignored me. What she didn't know was I could be just as stubborn...I followed her all day singing the same song"

Jack laughed. "So then what happened?"

"Son, it got me a broken guitar and a date. We were married fifty four years when she passed"

Letty finally left the hall and Jack sighed. "Well sir, any chance you will share the song to give me luck?"

The man smiled. "I would be glad to"

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

Jack grinned. "That's how it really starts?"

The man glared. "You kids these days just don't understand music anymore. We didn't need all the fancy words. Now you gonna listen or criticize my song?"

Jack put his hands up in surrender. "Please continue"

My Cherie amour, lovely as a summer day

My Cherie amour, distant as the Milky Way

My Cherie amour, pretty little one that I adore

You're the only girl my heart beats for

How I wish that you were mine

Jack felt his mind wonder to his first meeting with Letty. She was his partner in their science class as seniors. She was very quiet but crazy smart. She also laughed at all his terrible jokes which was a plus.

Jack remembered being so confused when she ignored him during those times but he learned that she daydreams a lot and ignores the real world. He came to love just sitting with her in silence or telling her stories that he learned.

In a café or sometimes on a crowded street

I've been near you, but you never noticed me

My Cherie amour, won't you tell me how could you ignore

That behind that little smile I wore

How I wish that you were mine

Jack wanted to laugh how true those words were. Letty had no idea he was in love with her but she also didn't believe in love so when anyone asked her out, she turned them down right away.

"Are you listening?" The man stopped for a moment.

"Lost in my thoughts with your song, please continue"

"Boy is not even writing this down and he wants me to continue" The man mumbled and Jack tried to keep from laughing.

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

"Seriously, I think all those lala's are why Gladys broke your guitar" Jack teased.

"Boy, you are going to have a broken nose if you don't back off"

Jack's eyes widened and the man laughed. "Those were Gladys's words before she grabbed my guitar and broke it instead"

Jack laughed nervously and wondered how this man survived fifty four years with this sassy woman. "Well, Letty definitely won't be doing any of that. If anything, she is going to be in her own world as I sing then ask me to repeat what I said"

"If you shush, I will finish so you can go try" The man warned.

Jack nodded and zipped his lips. "Good boy, keep those lips quiet"

Jack gasped and the man shushed him before continuing.

Maybe someday, you'll see my face among the crowd

Maybe someday, I'll share your little distant cloud

Oh, Cherie amour, pretty little one that I adore

You're the only girl my heart beats for

How I wish that you were mine

Jack turned his mind back to Letty. He was thankful becoming friends with Letty over the past year because she became his world. He knew her home life wasn't the best and he saw how strong she was from that. Most people thought she was an airhead but she was so much more.

He smiled as he remembered all the days they just relaxed watching clouds or stars. Those were the times that Letty didn't escape reality and broke down her walls. He only wish he could help her do that all the time.

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

La, la, la, la, la, la

"And the guitar has been broken" Jack joked.

"No, she threatened the broken nose first then broke the guitar. You better tell the story correctly before I threaten like she did"

"While I love the song, Letty definitely won't sit for that. She doesn't believe in love"

The man laughed again. "It has nothing to do with belief but thinking it won't happen for you that it makes love negative to you. Our oldest was the worst being like that, that her husband spent years trying to get her to open her heart"

"Did it work?"

The man smiled and nodded down the hallway. "That is a story for a later time, you have company"

Jack turned to see Letty running to him. "Jack, I am sorry for not seeing you!"

"It's okay but how did you know to come here?"

"Sora called me because she was worried because when she saw you talking to yourself"

Jack quickly turned around to see the man gone with a paper where he sat. Jack grabbed the paper and read the top. "For my cherie amour, Gladys. I love you, David Catahoula"

Letty looked at him confused. "What is that?

Jack smiled at little. "Just a gift from my grandfather"

"Wait, you were talking to yourself and now got a gift from your grandfather that passed when you were little?"

"Come on, lets go pick up Nicole while I call my mother. She has a story I want to hear"

Letty turned more confused as Jack started walking. "Wait, explain what is going on!" She yelled as she followed.

'I don't know how you came here, but thank you for the push grandfather' Jack thought as opened the door and helped Letty in. He shut the door and climbed in. "Jack, seriously, tell me what is going on. Sora was really freaked out"

Jack just started the truck and grabbed Letty's hand. "Someday I will explain but right now though, let's get Nicole and go for pizza"
