She made her way through the hall in fear of a consequence she had been waiting for. It was something that she could not change, because she didn't have that type of power anymore. Her hands were shaking and her whole body was screaming of the mental pain she had been suffering since that happened. She did not know who she was anymore, everything she had done was something inhumane.
It was all because of a mistake.
"How can I be so stupid, so... coward" she said, although did not give it too much thought as her sanity was almost non-existent. Her thoughts were not heard, and her body was weak and dependent.
She was now in a humongous dark room which had a piano in the middle that was visible because of the moon's glow. On one corner of the room a man could also be seen, he was praying, trying to send a message to that entity that becomes the last hope. She always thought it was stupid how people would always pray for a person such as Him, although she has done it before. She just didn't have anyone else that could help her, she knew He had abandoned her because she was a dirty sinner.
Her hands were splattered with blood.
"Save me please, save me from her!" she heard the old man say while she made her way to sit close to the piano. Her white dress made her part of the moon, and her black long her part of the darkness. She was a beautiful woman, charismatic, intelligent, gifted. But now she was the contrary, she had become a monster.
She was now shivering, wishing she wasn't there, wishing she could be free. But that wasn't possible, freedom, was a word that didn't exist in her vocabulary anymore.
She put her hands on the piano keys and ran her hands through them feeling their coldness, and with the man still praying she started playing a beautiful piano song. Every note and every movement she made when playing this song would fill her with power and desire. She couldn't even understand how this song could make her feel so good, so alive.
"What happened to you Selene, with your charming innocence, with your pure beauty?" the man said, he was now staring at her with eyes that showed fear.
"Do you really want to know?" She said in a tired voice.
And she was tired, mostly of him and his 'questions' that only made her more confused about her life and her purpose. She questioned herself many times because of him, and got to the conclusion that she couldn't make good decisions of her own without someone telling her she was wrong.
"Do you..." She repeated slowly, but couldn't finish. She was now crying, staring at the piano keys that reminded her of only one word... death.
She continued playing the song that only she knew, a unique song she made of her own; a song that could kill everyone that was selected as a 'special' person.
"No! Please stop it!" He cried, even though he knew she wouldn't listen, "Selene please! Have mercy!" he said louder, his words buzzing in Selene's ears. By now, she couldn't even hear her own thoughts. Her heart begged for it to stop, but her hands cried for his blood, the same dirty blood that she carried in her veins. Her hands stopped for a second, and she looked up to the man that was now tied in the air.
Do it Selene, you know you want to...
Selene heard in her head the voice of the woman that had tortured her for the past four years, the woman that made her lose her freedom, and the one that she belonged to.
"No!" Selene said loud, her hands in her ears trying to stop the voice, trying to not hear it anymore. "Leave me alone!"
Then suddenly, her hands started moving alone, and Selene began to play the song again. The last note was near, which meant the end of the man's life. She was crying loudly because she felt useless, not being able to help the person that meant so much to her.
Then, the song ended.
She looked at the man take his last breath, then she saw how the man's extremities flew everywhere; his blood spread in the floor, in Selene's face, and in the dress that had turned crimson. Selene screamed looking around, she was going mad. So much blood, so much death; she has had enough. Selene ran to where the man's torso and head now laid. His eyes narrow and his tears mixing with the blood that came out of his mouth.
As she heard the woman's voice again, she looked up to the sky. A shadow was now in front of her in the shape of a woman with red hair, her face half discomposed.
Selene looked back at the person lying in front of her, and with her arms she cuddled the body of the person that could no longer feel.
"Do you know what happened?" She repeated once again to the body, but still she wouldn't look at the man's face.
"I died" She continued. "I died just as you, father"
She stood right there hugging her father's body realizing that she was the next one.
"Just kill me." She said to the red haired woman. " I don't want to feel this pain anymore."
