I invite you to join me

In the summer I thought

Oh what am I doing here?

Oh I don't belong here.

Too stuck between

Too unseen

This Church is not for me

Jesus in Latin was made for the majority

Never the minority

So I sided far left spiritually

So I could feel loved by God

Then the sun rose in Autumn

And the words Father Mueller wrote

They were special to me

The Eucharist all accepting

Why did they get to have the Eucharist?

Why must they be the guardkeepers?

If only the Presbyterians or Anglicans kept the Eucharist.

Then the dawn came.

This was my home

I did not have to leave

Oh, how could I leave?

What's there not to leave?

Heretic or not, I am strong with My Lord

I've thought for myself too long

I can't agree with everything

I dissent to a few things

But I will remain obedient until

We can wake up

And raise our hands and catch the rain

I'm staying in the Latin Mass

I am queer

I am a woman

I am of color

But I belong here just as any others do

I can see the beauty in it just as any others do

I am here for those who can't leave

I am here for those who love the reverence

I am here to change

I've been stuck in 1962 too long

Many things I can't just stop believing

I cannot let go of some things

But I will remain open-minded until

We can sleep peacefully

And let the stars fall onto our eyelashes

This is my home

You cannot take it away

How can you take it away?

What's there not to take away?

Trad or not, I am strong with the Lord

Why did you have to get the loving, accepting crowd?

Why must you be the liberal and charitable ones?

If only the FSSP or SSPX had as a mixed crowd as yours.

Then the dawn came.

The sun remains in the sky

And the words that J. Cecil wrote

They were special to me

I have a place in the Church

This Church is for me

Jesus in Latin was made for all of me

Never just half of me

So I'm siding as close as I can to God and his Kingdom spiritually

I am Loved by God

At this moment, I can think

I know what I'm doing here

I belong here

I am not in between

I am seen

I invite you to join me
