Chapter 5

Gordie left the room and found some lotion, Vick's Vapo-rub, and some moisturizer in Gail's room. He returned to find Kayley still lying on her stomach on his bed. He sat beside her and gently rubbed the various soothers onto her reddened and bruising backside.

"Feeling any better?" He asked after he gently rubbed the various liquids and gels across her tush.

"A little," she sighed. She turned her head and looked at him. "I wanted to stop at Mulligan's Pasture," she said, her eyes watering – both from the pain of her spanking and her feelings for him.

"Mulligan's Pasture?" Gordie asked with confusion.

"It's where some kids go to make out," she explained. "It's further down Allen's Road. There's a nice view. You can see some of the river and downtown Hillsboro in the distance."

"I've never been there," Gordie said.

"I was going to stop there," she sighed. "I was hoping you'd kiss me there."

Gordie stared at her for a long moment. She looked so vulnerable exposed like that but there was something sweet and almost noble about all this too. "I'll kiss you here, instead," he said, leaning in and kissing her on the side of her cheek.

"I wanted it to be a nice night," she said, trying not to cry. "I'm so sorry…."

"Shhhhh," he said gently. "Why don't you take a bath?" He suggested.

"A bath?" She asked.

"Soak your ass," he explained.

"I don't think I can sit," she admitted.

"Lie on your stomach," He said. "The warm water will help, I'm sure."

"Maybe," she agreed.

He helped her off the bed and she turned to face him. Gordie saw her front for the first time – small round breasts and a patch of hair below. He took her by the hand and led her into the bathroom, drawing the water warm but not hot. They both stood by the tub watching it fill and when it was deep enough, Kayley stepped into it and then lay down on her stomach in the water like a little kid playing. Gordie took a seat on the closed commode and watched her float, making sure her backside stayed under the clear water.

"Helping?" He asked.

"Yes," she said quietly.

Neither spoke for a while. Kayley stared ahead at the porcelain in front of her while Gordie stared down at her lovely backside.

"You're right," Gordie finally said.

"About what?" She asked, turning her head and looking at him.

"There are more important things in life than basketball."

She smiled ever so slightly before getting up onto her knees leading in and giving him a kiss. Gordie took a towel from the nearby rack and helped dry her off as she stood. She stepped out of the tub and he pulled the drain while gently pat drying her bottom half, careful not to aggravate her sore rear. He took her by the hand and led her back into his bedroom. He picked up the basketball that was still on his bed and held it in his two hands.

"Wanna shoot some hoops?" He asked.

Gail was half asleep in the back seat when her father turned the car into the driveway.

"Well, would you look at that!?" She heard her father say.

"Oh my Lord!" Her mother exclaimed.

Gail opened her eyes and focused on the scene in front of them. "Holy Shit," She said when she saw Gordie and Kayley standing at the top of the driveway taking shots at the basket.

All three got out of the car gawking at the basketball players.

"Everything okay here?" Gordie's Dad asked with apprehension.

"Everything's fine, Dad," Gordie answered. "We worked things out."

"Would you like to stay for supper, Kayley?" Gordie's Mom asked. "We haven't seen too much of you lately."

"That would be great, Mom!" Gordie answered enthusiastically. "Thanks!"

His parents exchanged looks before walking arm in arm into the house, leaving Gail behind to scope out the situation. She noticed that Kayley was wearing a pair of her brother's sweats in the late afternoon sun.

"Didn't I warn you to stay away?" Gail frowned.

"You did," Kayley acknowledged. "And you were right."

"What happened?" Gail asked suspiciously.

"We worked it out," Gordie explained.

"Did you work Kayley out of her clothes too?" Gail asked.

Kayley blushed but Gordie grinned. "Get your mind out of the gutter," he said after pausing a beat. "Do you want to play around the world with us or what?"

He passed the ball to his sister and she caught it at her chest. "You two are out of this world," she muttered as she shot the ball toward the hoop.
