Just an abstraction poem from my Foundations class back in the day.

"The Circus"

Curiosity peeks under the curtain,

Wearing just a plain grey coat and boots,

Exploring the next tent.

Vanity slithers in a glass bowl,

Dressed in a goldish-green corset and matching snakes,

Contorting in ways only reptiles should.

Mystery foretells in a candlelit hut,

Draped in lush silks and glitter,

Caressing a crystal ball.

Illusion steps into the spotlight,

Shrouded in black sleeves and pockets,

Pulling rabbits out of hats.

Pride struts into the ring,

Donning a top hat and red tailcoat,

Thanking you for coming to the show.
