Ember quickly runs into the market, and with putting her cloak hood on, she walks around for a while before finding what she wanted. She then walks over behind an empty store and shrinks to the ground, carefully cutting and hand sewing the deep crystal blue fabric she had found. When she finally finishes an hour later, she goes out once more onto the market floor eventually discovering a small weapon store. She quickly glances to her left and right before walking inside. She finds a white and blue flowery sword sheath and quickly exits the store before hurrying back up to the forest, somewhat away from Fey and quickly changes into her new clothes, a beautiful short blue dress with white hemmings. It was sleeveless, and she made a compartment where her fiery necklace gem could fit comfortably in the front of of her dress. She removes the chain from the necklace, and the gem slips into her dress, magic binding the cloth and the gem together. She gently pulls out her sword from her hidden worn out brown sheath and slips it into her new one, which now rests across her back and chest. She puts the hood of her new dress on top of her head and gathers her clothes to sell at the market. Just as she was finished selling her cloak, a yell broke out in the business of the market.

"Look, I didn't even steal it, I simply touched it. I did not even want to steal it," the shop owner shouts. A boy shouts something back, and as Ember recognizes the voice, she runs to see Fey and an older man, in his mid fifties with grey hair, arguing with each other. Fey growls at the man's response and glances around the area, to connect eyes with Ember. She shakes her head, and he growls once more. "Ember, stay out of this!" He draws his bow and arrow, and aims it at the man. "I don't bloody believe you."

As the shop owner starts to attack Fey, Ember yells something in a strange language before pulling out her sword. She steps into the circle that was made by the people watching. "Fey, get out now."

"The hell I will. This is my fight," Fey growls. He stares at her, and she notices that his eyes are filled with such rage and anger, and furrows her eyebrows in alarm.

"You're such an idiot. Now you here." She motions towards the shop owner. "What happened?"

"I swear, ma'am, it was nothing. I was simply fascinated by this man's bracelet and wanted a closer look. I had no intention to steal it," the shop owner says.

"The hell you didn't," Fey yells. Fey draws the bow once more, and releases the string. The arrow slices through the air, and pierces the shop owner's arm. He yells out in pain, clutching his arm. Ember's eyes light up in an eerie way, orange flickering throughout the red in her eyes.

"FEY!" She charges at him, her sword up and ready to hit. When she reaches him, she swings the sword at him, gently grazing his arm. Fey barely winces at the cut, and with a light glow, the cut immediately heals.

"Not this again," Fey whispers. He shouts, "You forget, Ember. You forget that I'm a damn cursed fairy!" He charges at her, grabbing her arms and forcing her to the ground. She twists out of his grip and kicks him back a few feet.

"I don't give a damn about your fairy status. You do not hit an innocent man!"

"You don't understand. You don't understand anything about me at all. I may know a few things about you, but you don't know anything about me," he shouts. He flicks his hand, and the sword in Ember's hand flies away into the crowd. He walks closer towards her, seething, while rubbing his bracelet. He grabs her wrist and flings her to the ground. She flips out of his grip landing on her feet.

"I don't know anything about you? I don't understand? I thought maybe, I had found someone to travel with me, but I guess I was wrong. Isn't that right, Xenophilius?" Fey's eyes widen with fury and shock. And humor. He slams her into the ground with lightning speed, and leans into her ear. Ember takes a deep breath and tries to ignore the beating of her heart. She's never been this close to his lips before.

"That is a forbidden name. Don't ever say that again," he whispers softly, his voice quivering with fury, but with a hint of excitement residues. He adds more pressure to her body, making one of her lower ribs snap. She grunts in pain, and tries to shove off Fey, but he's too strong.

"Get off of me!"

"Never, ever use that name again," Fey says, then he disappears, the weight lifting off of Ember's body. Ember rises from the ground, clutching her rib cage. Suddenly, a searing pain spreads throughout her body, originating from her shoulder. She chokes out a cry of pain. A whisper echoes in her head, repeating over and over, "You don't know what I can do to you. You don't know what will happen if I see you again." it said. Ember frowns at the last words of the whisper: "Come find me."

Ember shakes her head in confusion.

"Oh, Fey," she whispers. Suddenly she is lifted from the ground and put to her feet. She looks up to see the eyes of the ocean stare back at her. The man smiles weakly, and Ember takes notice of his appearance. He has plain clothes, with a sword by his side, and he has a huge build. He has brunette hair, just like Fey. She frowns and shoves him away. The man steps back, and slightly bows his head to her. "I'm Aaron, my dear. I apologize for the sudden movement, but I wanted to make sure you were alright," he says. Ember nods her head, and starts walking towards the exit of the market, to the forest. Aaron runs after her, and grabs her arm. "Wait, I have a proposition for you." Ember shakes out of his grasp, and looks at him furiously.

"Oh yeah? What the hell would that be, you jerk?" Ember says angrily. Aaron appears unaffected by her remark, and reveals her sword, which Fey threw into the crowd.

"I've noticed that you were interested in swordplay, and I could teach you how to fight properly," he says, swinging the sword as though to prove his skills. She turns back around to face Aaron. She snatches the sword from Aaron and looks down at her sword before meeting his eyes again.

"You could teach me how to properly sword fight?" She asks with a small, gentle voice. He nods his head. "Would you be able to travel with me though? I'm sort of on the run, would you be able to teach me on the journey?"

He hesitates, looking back at the market. Ember can see the thought process going through his head, until he finally nods, but he doesn't look at her eyes. "Alright," he murmurs.

"Are you sure Aaron? You don't have to. If you have a job or a family here you should stay."

"No," he says firmly. "I will help you." Ember smiles at him.

"I'm going to go pack up on some food before we leave, you can do anything you want, meet back here in an hour!"

"Will do, princess," he whispers. Ember looks at him cautiously, and he furrows his eyebrows. "Is that an appropriate nickname? I can nickname you with a different name, if you wish."

"You can just call me Ember," she says calmly. "Just Ember." She runs off into the market.
