Chapter 1- Gemi and Mini

Long ago, a very powerful man with the ability to control fire, fell in love with a water mage. The two ran away from all the people who saw them as a threatened. Together, they lived hides from the people who feared them. Not long after, the woman fell pregnant with twins, but upon their birth- she died. The man wasn't very good at looking after himself, let alone twin baby girls, so he took them to an orphanage. Sadly, the twins got split up. The man, depressed from his wife's death, drank heavily before eventually dying. The babies were alone in the word.

Around ten years passed and the twin girls had grown up very differently. One of them had short red hair and red eyes, the other had long blue hair and blue eyes. The only thing that was the same on them was the birthmark behind their ears. It was shaped like an algebra 'x' with a line underneath it. The red haired twin had grown up with the name Abigale, and lived with foster parents (who she hated). Her foster parents yelled at her a lot, and sometimes -if drunk- would go as far as hit poor little Abbie.

A rage had built up in Abigale. A rage she couldn't control. Something had snapped in her. One time, her foster dad went to hit Abbie, and she glowed. A blue light came from her eyes and she looked terrifying. A small creature, which was red with a flame on its head for hair- that was also wearing armor- appeared out of the blue light. Abigale's foster dad burst out into a fit of laughter, until the creature held out its hand and a blade (which was covered in flames) appeared in its hand.

The creature gave the sword to little Abbie. As soon as she took hold of the handle, her red hair curled and shiny; metal armor appeared- protecting her torso. The opposite hand to what she was holding the blade in, engulfed itself in flames. Abbie looked at the hand with wonder. She glared at her foster father, and a flame shot towards him. The poor man died in the flames. Abigale was quite frightened of the gift which she shad developed. She had no idea that her father was actually a fire mage.

'Who are you?' she asked the small creature. The creature just looked at her blankly. 'I assume you can talk, so tell me who you are' Abbie demanded.
'Don't assume things.' The small creature spoke in a gruff voice. 'My name is Gemi, I am the stronger half of the zodiac "Gemini", and I am yours to do as you please miss Abigale.'

'Do as I please?' Abbie asked, a bit astonished at her power.

'That is right miss, what do you want me to do?' Gemi waited for her orders. A dark smirk crawled up on Abigale's lips.

'Kill her! Kill my foster mother!' The little creature did as its master had ordered and killed the woman.

Meanwhile, at an orphanage, the other twin was sitting in her dull room, staring at a glass of water. She could hear the other children playing outside in the sun. She didn't care though, she was just confused at something. Her name was Elizabeth, and she was probably the nicest, most kind hearted person you would ever meet. She was wondering why all the other kids at the orphanage were being adopted or fostered, while she was left there. Was it maybe her strong, long blue hair? She didn't know. A tear fell down her cheek into the glass of water, causing a ripple to appear.

There was a red flash, then a small hand touched Elizabeth's shoulder.
'There, there Elizabeth' a small squeaky voice said. Elizabeth didn't know who it was, so she turned around. Before her, stood an innocent looking creature. It was wearing a onesie. It was blue, and had a tail made from water. Around its hips laid a belt with a small dagger in it.
'Do I know you?' Elizabeth asked the adorable little creature.
'No, but I know you Lizzy.' It said smiling, 'my name is mini, from the zodiac "gemini", I appeared because you were crying.' Elizabeth patted its head. 'Why were you crying Elizabeth? Please don't cry.' The creature started to also cry. Elizabeth hugged it. Eventually the two had finished crying and a smile was on their faces.

Both twins had made a friend, but they used them for completely different things. Abigale used Gemi to make those who ever hurt her suffer. Elizabeth used Mini to help the homeless by giving out her water at the nearby hostel. They were very different people.

Chapter 2: Water

Hands were swimming around Elizabeth, many wanting a drink, many wanting food, some wanting to touch and pet Mini. This was Elizabeth's 5th year helping out at the hostel. She knew many of the people there very well, however new people came every day. She didn't like everyone, but she still treat them all the same. Like she always said 'to be respected you need to show some respect.' So she happily pushed her cart of food and water down the room.

"Hello Elizabeth" An old woman (with grey, messy and tangled hair) said in her croaky, worn out voice.

"Hello Mrs Green" Elizabeth said back and handed the woman a cup of water and a bowl of soup.

"Thank you dear." Mrs Green takes a spoonful of soup and blows it, "How is it back at the orphanage?" She asks.

"Ah well-"Elizabeth didn't get to finish her sentence because and impatient man yelled across the room for her to hurry up. "I have to go Mrs Green, I'll talk to you after my shift."

Elizabeth had finally finished at the hostel and was exhausted. Mini had vanished back to the stars and Elizabeth was alone. It started to rain. A smile crept onto Lizzy's face. She loved the rain, she always had. Lately it's been even better because Lizzy had Mini by her side and Mini made the water dance. Elizabeth had also been learning how to control the element, with help from Mini of course.

It was dark out. Even though it was raining, Elizabeth was not wearing a coat because she was too hot. This caused attention from a lot of people. Elizabeth was walking down the alley, which lead to the orphanage, without Mini by her side. She was feeling nervous. Her feeling was made worse when she heard a bang from behind her. She turned around, but saw no one.

A hand went over Elizabeth's mouth from behind. Lizzy was terrified.

"Come quietly and you won't get hurt." The masked man said. Lizzy counted how many people there was. Three. Three muggers or kidnappers or whatever they were. One of them started to play and sniff her hair.

"Blue hair. Doesn't smell dyed. How can you have natural blue hair?" He asked, then he saw he birthmark behind her ear. "Oh, that's how" he says and snickers.

"Well I'll be a son of a gun, look at that." The last one said.

"Is that their symbol?" The first asked.

"Yes. We will have to take this one into the boss." Elizabeth felt a hard blow to her lower abdomen, making her gasp. Her eye twitched. Another punch into her stomach. A tear ran down Elizabeth's face. The rain stopped in the air.

"What are you doing?" One of them asked, frightened. Lizzy screamed, causing the rain around her to form into sharp droplets. They aimed for the men. Elizabeth's eyes were red.

"You have one warning, leave this place now!" She ordered. They laughed then chard at her. Elizabeth raised her hands, then dropped them. The water needles slammed down on the men, cutting and digging into them. As they all collapsed grunting, Elizabeth's eyes returned to normal. She saw what she had done. The needles had returned to normal water and ran down the men's bodies. Elizabeth went lightheaded. Her care worker came outside and saw all the men with Elizabeth standing over them. Lizzy collapsed and her care worker only just managed to catch her in time.

"Oh Lizzy, what happened here?" She asked and carried Elizabeth inside. She laid her on the sofa.

Lizzy awoke to a cold, wet rag laid on her forehead and a swarm of kids around her. She sighed remembering what she saw before she blacked out. The kids all started throwing questions at her. There was a lot of "what happened?" and "how did you beat them guys up?" Elizabeth started to cry. Never in her life had she hurt a soul, and now there was three men, who not only were being arrested, but were also close to death because of her.

"Okay, okay, let the poor girl breathe." Elizabeth's care worker said to the kids. Elizabeth sat up.

"Thanks" Lizzy said. Her care worker smiled.

"I have news for you" she said. This sparked Lizzy's interests. "Someone wants to foster you."

"Really? Who?" Elizabeth spoke with excitement.

Before her was a young man with blond hair. He had green eyes and looked rather handsome.

"Hello Elizabeth, My name is Morgan Crux." Elizabeth looked bewildered at the man before her.

"You're the guy who wants to foster me?" She asked.

"Of course I am, you interest me?" he told her. She didn't know whether to be happy or scared. "Oh yeah, you've never been fostered before. Oh well. First time for everything remember."

"Yeah, I guess" she says.

The house that Morgan Crux lived in was huge. It was rather beautiful. There was three floors; six bedrooms (each with an on suite bathroom); a massive lounge; a game room; and a cinema.

"You know, this place doesn't seem right." Mini says. She made Elizabeth jump because she didn't know she was there.

"What? Where did you come from?" Lizzy asked.

"I'm a zodiac creature, I can come and go as I please." Mini said, her squeaky voice sounding very innocent. Morgan looked at the creature in awe.

"Which zodiac are you?" he asked.

"Mini, from Gemini" Mini stated proudly.

"Where's Gemi?" Morgan questioned.

"Gemi?" Elizabeth was confused at the conversation.

"I believe Gemi is with her half" Mini said.

"Who is Gemi?" Elizabeth asked. She was so confused.

"You have been with me for five years now and you haven't figured out that I was only half of the zodiac Gemini? Seriously Lizzy? I knew you were dumb, I didn't think you were this dumb." Mini tormented.

"Hey!" Elizabeth said sadly.

"I'm sorry." Mini apologised. Morgan looked in wonder. He stared at Elizabeth's birthmark. 'So you're one of their daughters' He thought to himself.
