Beyond the Blackened Sun

By: Kyoko Murakami

They blackened our sun, and the light faded from your eyes, they took you away from me. Yet I still hold out my hand to the fading memory. The color is fading from my body, am I fading from your memory? They blackened our sun, and the light faded from my eyes, they took me away from you. Yet I still hold out my hand to the fading memory. The color is fading from your body, are you fading from my memory?

I scream with this my aching body from banded hands and feet...

I scream with the love I still feel, that flows within me like falling rain...

I scream with my hands once outstretched, now clutching tightly against this parched throat...

Do you hear me even beyond the void, called sky?

They blackened out sun, and the light faded from your eyes, they took you away from me. Yet I still hold out my hand to the fading memory. The color is fading from my body, am I fading from your memory? They blackened out sun, and the light faded from my eyes, they took me away from you. Yet I still hold my hand to the fading memory. The color is fading from my body, are you fading from my memory?

I scream with the passion that only your voice can hold, even if means to never speak to again...

I scream with the love I still feel, that spills out from these veins...

I scream with my worn beating heart being torn out from me...

The color is fading from my body, are you fading from my memory?

The light that returns dies away like the sun. As I lay there looking beyond the sky remembering a promise long forgotten...by the higanbana (red spider lily) scented wind.

The light that returns dies away like the moon. Even though the darkness intertwines in my heart and the higanbana is trampled and withered. My soul shall follow the light of the love that is, forbidden. Beyond the void called sky I'll go for you...

The light that returns dies away like the stars. Even though the darkness intertwines in my heart and intersects with the wavering fact of tomorrow. My last dying breath bring back life to that small budding flower called hope.

The light that returns dies away like the tolling of a bell. As I lay there looking beyond the sky remembering a promise long forgotten...by the higanbana (red spider lily) scented wind. My soul shall follow the light of the love that is, forbidden.

My once empty hand that once held yours is held once more…beyond the opposite side of darkness where you soul resides…
