"We have already done every lab that is in the curriculum and some extra labs, so I don't know how else I can make sure you're all prepared for high school labs." Mrs. West announces as we walk into the science room.

I take a seat beside Jaxon as usual. He smiles at me. We haven't really talked to each other since last night. I mean, it's not weird or anything. We just don't sit near each other in history and we're not in the same math class. Still, I'm happy that he still seems happy to see me.

"So what do you want to do today? We can watch a movie. Any movie as long as it meets all of the school's guidelines. Or not if you promise not to tell Mr. Kohls."

"Can we watch The Exorcist?" Kyle asks.

"That is an absolutely terrible idea, Kyle. I don't think that movie follows any of the school's guidelines, but at the same time, I don't really care. I'm going to retire this year anyway and it's the last day of school, so what the heck?"

"So we can watch The Exorcist?" Kyle asks.

Mrs. West shrugs, "Does anyone here have a major phobia of anything paranormal? Can I get a show of hands? Will anyone's parents be calling the school to complain? Can I also geta show of hands for that?"

Nobody raises their hand, so she says, "Okay, we can watch The Exorcist if anyone has access to that movie."

"We can use my Netflix account," Rebecca says.

"Okay, Rebecca is going to set up The Exorcist for us. Thank you, Rebecca."

"Have you seen it before?" Jaxon asks me.

"No, my parents would never let me watch a violent movie," I say.

"Same! My parents don't think I'm old enough to watch horror movies for some reason, so I just watch them at Kyle's house."

"Same, except I watch them with Becca. She loves horror movies!"

"I can tell," Jaxon chuckles, "look!"

He points at the whiteboard where Rebecca's Netflix profile is currently being projected. The whole screen is just horror movies. Continue watching: horror movies. Watch it again: more horror movies. Recommended: again, horror movies.

"Yeah, she never lets me or Annie pick any movies when we're logged into her account. She says we'll mess up her recommendations with all our wholesome movies."

"What do you like to watch?" he asks.

I shrug, "I don't really watch a lot of movies right now, but I'm watching Friends and I started watching The Office after Hannah kept telling me how awesome it was."

"Oh yeah, I love The Office! What season are you on?"

"Season 3! It's really good so far."

"Yeah, it's really funny. We should watch it together sometime."

"Yeah, that would be fun! We should hang out sometime over the summer."

"Can we have snacks?" Connor asks, raising his hand.

"I don't have any snacks for you, but feel free to share snacks with the class if you have any." Mrs. West says.

I smile at Jaxon and then raise my hand.

"Can I order pizza for everyone?" I ask as I take out my mini wallet. Diversity gave me some money for pizza last night.

"Go for it!" she says.

"Okay, what toppings does everyone want? I like pineapples." I say.

Half the class also wants pineapples and ham on their pizza while the other half just wants pepperoni. I take out my phone and order one of each.

It only takes a few minutes for the pizza to get here because I guess they don't get a lot of orders before noon in the middle of the week. I bring the pizzas in and everyone looks really happy to see me. This is fun. Maybe I should order pizza for people more often.

I give most people one piece of whatever kind they wanted, but I give Annie, Rebecca, and Jaxon an extra piece. There's one extra piece left when I'm done, so I give it to Connor.

"Why does he get an extra piece?" Kyle asks.

"Because he's my friend." I shrug.

"What about me?" he protests, "We're friends, right?"

No, we're not. Kyle has got to be one of the most annoying people I've met at this school. I mainly just tolerate him because he's Jaxon's friend and I really like Jaxon enough to tolerate annoying people for him.

"Sorry, Kyle. Maybe next time." is all I say.

Kyle rolls his eyes and tries to take one of Connor's extra slices, but he stuffs the whole thing in his mouth and tries to swallow it in one big bite.

Jaxon laughs at his friends as he eats his slices at a normal pace.

"Thanks for the pizza!" he says, smiling at me.

I shrug, "Anytime! I love pizza!"

"Me too! I'll order pizza when we hang out and watch The Office together," he says.

"Sounds like a plan!" I say.

"You ordered pizza without us?" Hannah says as I sit at our usual table in the cafeteria.

"Relax Hannah, she only did it because Jaxon said he likes pizza." Rebecca rolls her eyes.

"Everyone likes pizza!" Hannah insists.

"True, but Justice is in love with Jaxon, so she's not really thinking clearly," Rebecca says.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I turn to glare at Rebecca, "I gave you an extra slice and this is what you say?"

She chuckles, "What do you want me to do? Barf it up and give it to Hannah?"

I try to hold in my own laughter and give her a deadpan look. "Yes."

"Hey, guys! What's up?" Aleena greets us as she sets down her tray.

"Nothing much," Hannah says, "Justice just ordered pizza without us."

"Because she ordered it for Jaxon," Rebecca adds.

"But it's okay because I'm going to buy you guys pizza too," I say.

"Really?" Aleena asks.

"Yeah! Hannah, you like Hawaiian pizza, right? And what's your favourite kind of pizza, Aleena?"

Hannah nods and Aleena says, "Can I have cheese pizza?"

"Cool!" I say as I take out my meal plan card, "I'll buy you guys pizza on one condition. No more talking about Jaxon right now."

"What? I wasn't even saying anything about him." Hannah protests.

"Okay, true. You guys can keep your pizza if you personally don't say anything about him."

Hannah shrugs, "Okay, fair enough."

"I can say whatever I want though since I already ate my pizza," Rebecca smirks at me.

"Uh, no you can't." I say, taking her pudding cup before she can react, "If you keep talking about him, I'll take your cheese string too."

She rolls her eyes but stops talking. Well, at least until I leave the table to get Hannah and Aleena their pizza.

"I'm gonna miss you guys so much!" Annie says as she hugs all of us.

"You know we can still see each other in the summer, right?" Rebecca laughs.

"No, I can't. We're going to our cottage in Florida for three weeks and then me and my brothers are staying with our cousins in Texas for a month, so maybe I'll see you guys when I get back which will be the last week of summer break."

"Oh wow. That's a long time." Rebecca agrees and pulls her into a hug.

"Aww, you're gonna miss me," Annie says and Rebecca pushes her away.

"You guys are all going to be home this summer, right?" Rebecca asks us.

"Yeah, I'm free in July." I say, "I'm going to this feminist summer camp in August though."

"Is it like a month-long thing?" Hannah asks.

"Yeah!" I say, "I'll be there for all of August."

"Cool! My sister gets to go to camp for a month this summer because she's a leader in training. I'm just going for two weeks sometime in July though."

"Why are all of you guys going places for such a long time?" Rebecca asks and turns to Aleena, "Let me guess, you're going to camp for the whole summer, right?"

She shakes her head, "No, I don't go to summer camp."

"Finally! You're my new best friend!" she announces and puts her arm around Aleena.

"Yeah, I'll be around except for one week sometime this summer when we're going to visit my grandparents in Pakistan."

Rebecca shrugs, "Good enough. We're still gonna do tons of fun things this summer."

Annie suddenly smiles and waves at someone behind me. I turn around to see Jaxon walking towards us. I also wave at him and he waves back at us.

"C'mon, let's go over there," Annie says quickly, pointing at a spot across the yard.

"Good idea!" Rebecca agrees, "Let's give them some privacy."

"What? No! That's not what I meant. I thought they might just want to talk without you bugging them." Annie argues as they walk across the yard.

"Hey Justice! How's it going?" Jaxon says as he approaches me.

"Great! I'm so excited for summer break! I mean, I guess it technically is summer break, but I'm excited about that, ya know?"

"Yeah, me too!" he says, "What are you doing this summer?"

"I dunno." I shrug, "I'm going to this feminist summer camp in August, but I don't really have any plans for July."

"Cool! Same, my parents rented a cottage for a week in August, but I'm free in July."

"Cool! I guess we can watch The Office together then." I say.

"Yeah," he says, "Hey, do you want my number? So we can make plans?"

"Sure!" I say, handing him my phone, "I'll give you mine too!"

"Cool!" he says, handing me his phone.

We give each other our phones back and then fall into this weird awkward silence.

"So what do you do at feminist summer camp?" he asks me, breaking the really awkward silence.

"I'm actually not sure." I admit, "I've never been to this camp before."

"Oh, then I guess it'll be a surprise. That's cool, right?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Hey, uh, thanks for ordering pizza today! And giving me an extra slice."

"No problem! I wanted pizza anyway and why not make the last day of school awesome, right?"

"Yeah, that was pretty awesome." he agrees, "So," he trails off as he steps closer to me.

He slowly puts his arms out as if to hug me. Do I want to hug Jaxon? Yes! Of course, I do! So I reach out my arms too and pull him into a hug.

This is nice. Wait, neither of us are talking. Maybe I should say something.

"Have a good summer!" I say.

Maybe it doesn't exactly add anything to the conversation, but it's the first thing I could think of.

"Yeah, you too!" he says.

I'm about to pull away when I notice him looking at me. Now, he's leaning his face towards mine. Is he going to kiss me?

I tilt my face towards his and press my lips against his.

I don't know how long we stay like that, but this is probably the most awesome thing that's happened to me this year.

Jaxon Winters kissed me!

"Hi Honey!" Mom greets me as soon as I walk inside.

"Hey, Mom! You're home early."

"Yeah, we finished up at the studio early today and I couldn't wait to tell you the good news!"

"What good news?" I ask, "Did the show get renewed?"

She shakes her head. "I don't know yet. We won't know until next week. The good news actually has nothing to do with the show."

"What is it?"

"Safron's mom called me at work today and she wants you to come over for a sleepover with Safron and Marshella. And probably Avery too, but she just mentioned Safron and Marshella for some reason. Anyway, she's prepared to have you stay at her house for two weeks starting on Saturday, but she said that she's happy to have you stay for longer if you'd like."

"Wow, I don't know what to say!" I say, "Um, thanks, Mom! And, um, tell Mrs. Johnson that I really appreciate her letting me come visit." I quickly add.

This day has really been a rollercoaster. I don't know if that's a bad thing yet. Most of the day has been good. Some parts of the day have been really awesome. This part of the day could end up being really good, but it could also end up being a disaster. I guess I'll have to see how the next two weeks go.

A/N: So Justice is finally going to visit her old friends again for the first time in months. Do you think everything will be (mostly) the same as old times or will they all be too different now? Do you think Avery will show up or will they keep their distance?
