Fragmented

Gazed upon a mirror, a shard torn reflection
Gazed underneath, red shaded shadow
Gazed into dreams, vivid bright perfection
Gazed right within, bleak, void, and hollow

From the side I lean, I feel a warmth lingering
Still inside my memories I hear a voice and turn
On the side I reach, a scent sent me shivering
Now eyes opened anew, I taste the poison burn
that kiss meant to seal

Just so I can feel you near
Place the pieces the way you wish
The way I'll become something dear

Traced upon a scar, reminder of you and I
Traced down to beginning, the passion, desire
Traced along the way, a plead, silence, a cry
Traced till the end to heart set afire

Behind the side I sighed, I saw a mirage ascending
Still numbed from memories, cowering I turn
From the side I ran away, I sense a presence amending
Now eyes shut tight, soothing eased a burn
that calm relaxing feel

Please, don't fill in the puzzle
You'd hate the picture cleared

Refusing to oblige
Denying my lies
I scream, and kick, and cry
I want to run, I wish to hide
Calm, compassionate
Staying right by my side
Despite the times I tried
