A darkness dwells within us
Slowly growing, corrupting those of weak hearts and
Until it drives them to do great
In the form
To teach their children
Yet goes unnoticed.
Fear burns in the hearts of our young
Yet it is ignored.
The evil among us goes undefeated.
It is the evil of pain.
Mistreatment of children goes unresolved.
Is brought into and
Dwells in a
Household of fear.
Is goes unnoticed,
If physical punishment were a God,
It would be strong beyond belief.
And we would wonder how it came to be so powerful
Yet it would be through us
That the God came into being and grew to great
Such is the reality of this world.
