Forest Finery

I'm a spirit,

Floating in the air,

Hovering o'er trees,

Guarding the forest,

Watching animals play,

Venturing into unwanted areas,

Mothers cleaning baby cubs,

Trees swaying to the rhythm of dancing birds.

Caterpillars ticking tree trunks,

Lion cubs cuddling for sleep,

Moon shining above,

Stars are twinkling a lullaby.

All the animals began to fall into a deep

Autumn turning into winter,

Awaiting Spring to bring them to life.

And I'm still hovering above,

Watching and waiting,

For peace.
