Siege

Lose not what was sought,

Though it seems as if the road has divided.

We stand yet strong,

and of will.

And by our hands it shall be amended.

Not in strife.

Not in fire.

Not with the blood of a million saviors.

But with minds ablaze alike in the light of confirmation.

Fore when the path is split,

Know we can march only onward,

Forge a new path bridging over,

and stare at the skies in wonder.

Lose not your hopeful thoughts,

Though it seems like all has ended.

You stand yet strong,

and of will.

And by sheer want you can reclaim them.

Not in grief.

Not in fear.

Not with the mere shrugging of your shoulders.

But with eyes burning alike,

With the pride of constitution.

Fore though your eyes may fail to see that the path spreads only forward,

Just stand like those come before you,

and stare at the skies in wonder.
