Jess never imagined that he would be attracted to Louise in a way he never felt possible but after spending the day with her he felt renewed and reenergized.
"This is one of the best days I've had in a long time," He told her as they drank their after-dinner coffee on the restaurant deck.
Louise didn't say anything in reply.
"I guess Maine really is magical," he grinned.
"I'm glad you like it," she smiled.
"I always liked you," Jess confessed. "You're the only girl I could ever talk to."
"I know," Louise replied. "You just never saw me."
Jess blushed with shame. "I was foolish," he admitted.
"Are you experiencing some sort of mature awakening now?" Louise asked.
Jess didn't answer her question. They finished their coffee and Jess walked her back to her picturesque inn on the water.
"Why don't you come in," Louise suggested when they reached the front porch.
It was more of a request and Jess was more than willing to obey it. The room was small but attractively quaint with a balcony overlooking the harbor.
They sat in two chairs by the glass balcony door and they looked out at the ocean in the dim light of the room, sipping on wine Louise had brought with her.
"Why don't you stay tonight?" She suggested after a while.
"Don't we have to back to our lives tomorrow?" He asked.
"Can't you just indulge me?"
Jess swallowed nervously. "I'm no longer the Casanova," he said sadly.
"I never saw you as a Casanova," Louise told him as she stood from the chair.
"How did you see me?" He wondered.
"As a nice guy," she answered. "As a friend."
Louise unbuttoned her blouse and she removed her bra, revealing her fairly large breasts to him as she stepped closer.
"You were my only friend in high school," she whispered, placing her hands on his pants and unbuckling his belt, unsnapping his khaki shorts.
"Am I your friend now?" Jess asked.
"Wouldn't you rather be my lover?" Louise grinned as she released him.
Jess stood from his chair, allowing his shorts and underwear to fall to the floor and without thinking about it, he pulled Louise's shorts and panties down her legs and suddenly she was naked before him, sexy and beautiful, a small muff of graying hair between her legs.
They were both closing in on sixty. The former athlete Jess' now beer belly had picked up a spare tire. Louise's stomach had a bulge to it too and they both had wrinkles and flab in unflattering places but none of that mattered.
The lonely Jess was intrigued by the image of a naked Louise in front of him and Louise seemed to be amused by the unfolding scene. They embraced in a warm kiss as their hands explored each other's bodies standing in front of the window with the sounds of the ocean outside.
Louise stuffed her tongue into his mouth (she had to stand on her tiptoes to reach his face!) and their tongues mated. Overcome with desire and want, Jess picked Louise up and carried her to the bed, placing her on her back. She willingly spread her legs and gave him the most sensual sexual smirk he had ever seen.
"Okay, Casanova," She smirked through her aroused breaths.
Jess peeled off his shirt and he slowly dropped himself onto the bed/
"Take me," she requested.
Jess leaned in and kissed her warmly and then they began to make love.
"Geez, Louise!" Jess heard himself scream when they both orgasmed.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Louise laughed. "Oh, Jess, thank you!"
He collapsed on top of her and they cuddled together, not thinking of their forgotten past now permanently cemented by their tryst of love.
"I haven't made love like that in a very long time," an exhausted Jess confessed. "I didn't think I could make love like that again."
"There are some things you never get to old for," Louise giggled. "Some things you never get tired of. Some things you never forget."
"Geez, Louise," was all Jess could think to say as they cuddled on the bed in the darkening room as the sun had all but set.
"We're only a couple of hours apart," Louise remarked
"This is true," Jess replied.
"I have a nice place."
"And you can come back to Hillsboro for visits too."
She stared into his eyes. "I suppose I could," she said with a peaceful look on her face.
