The Destiny of Man

I owe allegiance to no lord,

tribulation has just began.

In huddled fear, the masses roar

to see the destiny of man.

The skies go dark and people cry,

resounding in collective fear.

Their prayers met with silence, denied

as punishment begins severe.

Their faces bright by lightning strikes

as they cling to a fleeting faith.

A grimace shared in silver light,

it seems that man was made to break.

I embrace this as my last day,

While others do flee I will stand,

I fear no god so I must stay

and face the destiny of man.
