Wondering, wanderings, coiling meanders
That ebb and flow, twist into shimmering shine.
Thundering, wondering, raucous disasters,
White wash the grey of the pebble sound brine.

Fill up and empty, sluice and heave,
Pull up the shingle, turn out my treasures.
Search in the breakers for the beauties you leave
That cover the beaches in infinite measures.

Serpentine twisting of sun-shadow leaps,
Softens the role of mountains descending.
Hidden in darkness, kissed by light strings he sleeps,
Cuddled in breathing ocean unending.
