Your fingers dance across my face

I open my eyes to your searching stare

And feel my heartbeat tempo rise

Whilst my cheeks begin to burn

I nuzzle into your touch

Enjoying the gentle caress with each sweep of your thumb

As you map out my bone structure

And I shift at the sweet innocence

Feeling myself drop and drift

Become undone then rejoined together

I close my eyes and focus on the closeness of your body

The gentle fall and rise of your breath

The heat it seems to constantly emanate

Never once did I think I'd get this near

The pause in movement and hand against my cheek cause me to stir

Your eyes are intent and hesitant as you look across my face

And it is followed by a questioning kiss

Simple

Yet, I feel my stomach fall

And a tension enters my body

As the fight to let you in begins
