Calm, pure blue waters sparkle with the sunlight,

as a newly polished sapphire;

Peaceful waters pushed by the wind;

quiet above; mischief below

A gray, smiling torpedo pushes past,

I'm moved aside like seaweed in the current,

The grinning finned rocket breaks the silence:

A wall of white froth blinds me,

My vision clears: two smiles appear

For a moment, I belonged.

A laugh and a splash, and my new friend darts away.

My world has been changed.
