LOW DOWN BLUES

This is very bad poetry in the style of Langston Hughes. Please comment nicely!

Low Down Blues

Low down blues, why don't you dial another number?

I can't pick up while I'm busy jacking off.

All I do is dream, but my dreams don't feel like living.

I'll call you back when my hand is tired and sore.

Chuck Berry, Father of Rock and Roll

Sometimes you love a man and he's no good,

(Chuck Berry was a dirty old man with a guitar),

Sometimes you love a man and he's no good,

And sometimes he's still better than you are.

Bad Brother

That Coates is one bad brother,

Listen to what he says,

Black like old Nat Turner,

Pink like Joan Baez.

Let Daddy Know

Most all the dreams I ever dreamed done died,

Dead like my daddy, dead like my daddy,

Most all the dreams I ever dreamed done died,

But still I'd like to let him know I tried.

Pope Francis on Drugs

The modern Pope condemns all greed,

He hates the drug cartel.

He can't hear those conquistadors,

Laughing down in hell.

Birthday Wish

I wish I knew what made my daddy cry,

I wish I knew what made my daddy cry,

If my fat daddy ever cried for me,

I believe I could forgive him by and by.

Me Too

It didn't just happen to one girl,

It happened to me and you.

Ugly old Trump did horrible things,

John Lennon did them too.

Still a Fool

I was born ugly, because my daddy said so.

I miss him sometimes, because I'm still a fool.
