Black and white figures,

Like notes on a page

Flickering firelight, water and sage

Earth tilts and shifts, fire renews

Birth from rebirth, does and ewes

Running too fast, staying in lanes

Chasing a thrill, late night hoping in vain

Iron flippers with care or words flowing with ease

Trading lilies for roses or forests for trees

Holding less to attachments, celebration of change

Letting more go and increasing the range

Where reflections will meet and flavors can marry

Don't rush your steps, it's fine to tarry

Stillness, emptiness, solitude, rest

Saying goodbye and on to next quest

Each our own adventures ensue

And time spent separate, life's moments accrue

Why wish for something more exciting

When it's already inviting

Why long for something else

When we're enough in ourselves?
