Returning Home

I remain unbroken by the changing sands of time,
Somehow watching who I was disappear on the back of the wind,
I suppose time really does change everything.

The human mind is truly a spectacle, isn't it?
What else can change so much,
Be shattered beyond recognition
Yet still never be broken at all?

I hide away in this cocoon so often that I have lost the world,
Perhaps it is time to resurface,
To once again look into the soul of my past.

-I cannot stay hidden forever-

My torn spirit has been rebuilt.
It is time to open the door back to my life.
My time of hibernation is over,
So I step into the house I once called home and begin learning to love again.
