Chapter 5

Lenny was asleep when Marjorie awoke later, both of them lying on soggy sheets from body perspiration and sexual fluids. She liked the feeling she had lying naked next to a man feeling uninhibited and free but she knew it really was a fantasy because she had to go back to her Hillsboro house and her sucky job while waiting for the kids to return from camp while her college professor lover had his Green College life and that made her sad to know their little fling together had no future.

She carefully left the bed and walked naked to the bathroom, pulling her hair up into a bun, turning on the shower and stepping into the stall, letting out a defeated sigh as she let the spray wash away the sex and sweat, paying special attention to her private parts with the soap and washcloth.

She jumped when she heard the shower door open and she wasn't sure how to feel or react when Lenny joined her in the shower stall. He wrapped his arm around her waist from behind and he kissed the back of her neck.

Marjorie turned her head and she kissed him. As defeated and worried as she was feeling, it was nice to have Lenny with her and she didn't protest when his tongue dipped inside her mouth.

He dropped his head to lick her breasts as the shower water trickled down them and eventually he moved lower, to her stomach and then he was on his knees with his face buried between her legs and she rested her back and ass against the shower stall wall and let him pleasure her standing up.

Marjorie wasn't sure if Kenneth had ever done that to her in a shower stall and she stared down at the top of Lenny's head watching him as he buried his face in her muff and she felt his warm tongue and the hot shower water stimulating her womanhood.

"I could fall," she moaned – but she really didn't care and it didn't take all that long for her to become weak-kneed from her orgasm, her body juices mixing with the shower spray and Lenny's saliva and she let him hold her up by her thighs as she recovered from her pleasure.

"What are you doing to me?" She whimpered. "You make me feel like I don't care about anything but you."

"That's not a bad thing," he grinned, looking up at her.

"We need to be realistic," she warned.

"This seems pretty real to me," Lenny laughed.

He stood and turned off the water and he gave her a kiss before they stepped out of the shower stall and they helped dry each other off.

Wrapped in towels, they walked downstairs so Marjorie could retrieve her bathing suit and blouse left on the kitchen floor. Lenny watched as she sheepishly dressed, handing him the damp towel in return.

"I don't want this to be just sex," Marjorie told him.

"It's not," Lenny assured her, giving her a spontaneous hug. "Don't let your emotions churn you up," he pleaded. "This is a good thing."

"What do we do now?" Marjorie wanted to know, pulling away from him and staring him in the face.

"The kids aren't getting back for a while?" He asked.

"The end of August," she confirmed.

"When do you have to be back to work?"

"Monday," she sighed.

"Ollie won't be back for a while either," Lenny let her know. "Let's enjoy the rest of the week and the weekend here," he advised. "Then you can drive back and forth to work next week."

"Summer at the lake?" She asked with surprise.

"Won't it be nice?" He grinned.

"So, a summer fling?" Marjorie worried.

"Of course not," Lenny assured her. "But we can definitely get to know each other better here."

"And when summer ends?"

"Green College is just across the river from Hillsboro, Marjorie," he laughed. "We're not going anywhere."

"If only it was that easy," she sighed.

"It is!" Lenny said happily. "You're forgetting the lake effect! I know you've been going through a hard time, but look out the window! The sun is out. The lake is beautiful. We're here together. It's going to be okay. You're going to be okay."

Marjorie stared at him for a long moment. "You're daft," She decided with a smirk.

Lenny laughed good naturedly. "It's not such a bad thing," he said again.

She shook her head with amusement, gave him a peck on the cheek, and left the house.

Vanessa was standing on her porch with her arms folded across her chest and a silly expression on her face as she watched her friend approach the smaller cottage.

"There's hope for you yet," Vanessa laughed with approval.

Marjorie blushed but she couldn't help but laugh too.
