The Only Rose (the bride:)

~ "You're the only rose I know." (Runrig, "The Only Rose") ~

Will You let me whisper a love-song to You,
Tenderly pouring forth from the harp of my heart?
Let me kiss Your beloved lips with my words,
Now that it feels as if we're a lifetime apart?

May I cling to Your hand to dance through this life,
fix my gaze on Your loving invisible face,
entwining our fingers in never-ending embrace,
led by the lantern of never-diminishing grace?

Wherever I've searched for beauty, wherever for peace,
Wherever I've languished for love and panted for joy:
I withdraw all affections, all compromises, all pains,
to find home in the sweetest honeycomb of Your eye.

Alone, together, we're borne through the seasons' flow;
Jesus, You are the only Rose I know.

The Only Rose (the Bridegroom:)

Will you let Me whisper a love-song to you,
Tenderly pouring forth from the harp of My heart?
Let me kiss Your beloved soul with my words,
Your sacred heartland from which I'll never depart?

May I cling to you, dancing you through this life,
fix My gaze on your tenderly beckoning face,
entwining our fingers in never-ending embrace,
led by the lantern of never-diminishing grace?

My only, rest in assurance of True Love's peace,
rest in the knowledge that you are My fountain of joy;
rest in the mystery I always give you My all,
died for the sake of one look from your beautiful eye.

Come, My rose, on a honeymoon never to end
on shores where your name alone is etched in My sand.
